Not everyone thinks of her as that though... she is a normal person. The only thing that has slowly changed since the 2000s was her getting into her diva persona/defense so that people would stop running over her. But she’s the the same nice person overall. The *only people* who buy into those nasty fake rumors are usually the ones who’s believe the misogynistic, racist, disgusting media.

This is misleading as Mariah writes all of her own music besides her covers. Reason why she's recognized by The Songwriting Hall of Fame..soon to be in the Hall if she isn't already. I'm not sure when the ceremony is or if it already passed. Of course, Mariah also collaborated with Kandi and co-produced alongside her as well with X Girlfriend for example. Provided context should be more common or you should have said that she's worked with these artists. Love me some Kandi. Great person and talent.

@Ugh Mariah was inducted into the songwriters H.O.F in 2020 and the ceremony will be held in 2022. Also, you're right MC did write or co-write all her music except covers. A pretty long but factual review: A KZbinr (Kempire Daily) posted a reel today saying that Wanya was on Instagram live around the same time after Kandi was having the conversation with Mr. Eddie Levert Sr (and his granddaughter, I believe) on his IG. Later on, he posted a complete screen recording of the live stream. Nate had reached out to Wayne, and Wanya had reacted out by FaceTime to see if everything was ok. Nate let him know that everything was good, but there was an issue with what Kandi said. He tells Wanya that he had seen an article somewhere about Kandi's statement. A fellow named Petty (on Instagram who was a host of Wanya and His wife’s virtual musical reunion special on Wanya’s live) had agreed and said that a few people (in the comments during Wayna’s live) mentioned or asked about it. Still, he said that she noted that the group’s attitude was nasty and whatnot to Wanya. (FYI: Kandi never 👎 told that they were terrible/hostile to her during the live stream. Feeling disrespected is one thing, but a treated foul is another. Huge difference!) At first, Wanya wasn’t sure if he would discuss with everybody while the reunion was going on. But, after his wife quoted what Kandi said to him. He thought 💭 about it and said that if everybody wanted to hear (his side of) the story to clear the air and explain the group’s side of the story, he’d do it, and he did. Kandi was working with her boyfriend at the time of the group’s recording of their album 💿 before Mike left the group. He said that the reason Kandi and the fellas disagreed was about money. Kandi brought up the conversation during the recording session before writing ✍️ and any singing (from the group) on the song, not the group. The money 💰 talk would be a discussion about splitting the money since she was in the studio and came up with specific lyrics (the hook of the song that was similar to TLC’s classic No Scrubs a bit) while her boyfriend (at the time) Shakespeare was producing (and writing 📝 as well) a track (‘Good Guy’) for the group’s album. Kandi felt like she should have (a granted) a certain amount received after the recording of the song in the studio and how much she and the group would go by that. Possibly the payment presented to Kandi was not the fee that she had felt was a fair amount, especially when she was creatively responsible for the idea of some parts of the song 🎶 lyrically. She spoke about it, and some of the fellas' responses to Kandi’s feelings about the situation weren’t too good. It had to be because Kandi said that she has never felt that disrespected by an artist while working in the studio before. Side note: Wanya noted that they did not speak 🗣 to Kandi harshly or anything like that. Lol, that’s what he said! They even worked on another track with her and her ex-boyfriend after doing the first one on the same album. Musically, they didn’t have an issue with Kandi. They respect her craft very much. However, it’s the professional dealings. When it comes to how she handled it, the men felt that they could not work afterward. Anybody that knows Kandi professionally or personally will tell you that she is a businesswoman and does not joke about her businesses, and especially when it comes to her finances. Heck, she’ll even say that herself, lol! Even though it was years ago, and she still was recognized as one of the songwriters of the song on the album. Plus, she said that she was friends with the guys (before that) and even hung out with some of the guys before working together, and Kandi’s love ❤️ hadn’t been lost after the situation. But, you can see how the problem in her eyes still disappoints her a bit. Like, if she had an opportunity to turn back the hands of time, she would have been a visitor to the session and never had a problem with that.

That's God damn lie Kandi is not a nice person this girl went on the radio to sell her book and was tearing her group mates apart. Called Tasha Scott a hoe because she slept with jd to get lead parts in their songs and she called Latocha fat and said she was the reason they wore baggy clothes because she fit in none of the original clothes they had made for them. I don't know how they forgave her for that

A lot of people won’t understand this but most stars were once very insecure and once they mastered their talent, became famous, made millions off of their hardwork they become very big headed and see themselves as superhuman. In their defense you must have some sort of arrogance to be in the entertainment industry or to create something that changes the world.....my philosophy professor said this out of his own mouth and it confirmed what I always knew to be true about celebrities: The best ones know they are the best and they will tell you that. “You are what you think” The most insecure celebrities fall hard and look really bad afterwards bc the industry and the world can be emotionally abusive. Strangers gossip about you never lived your life but they swear they know as if they were there. And the world depend on celebrities to make certain choices to make them happy. Being a celebrity without breaking down really is a super power bc ppl are always magnifying your life. Women want to be Beyoncé but they couldn’t walk a mile in her shoes. Beyoncé handles a lot of situations with grace and class, she doesn’t read the comment section bc it can be a trigger. Matthew taught her how to be a celebrity by asking her questions as a interviewer and telling her not to do interviews unless she wants to. I think the job of being a celebrity is overrated. They may love to sang and dance but they go through a lot of shit and they can’t trust anyone.
