I agree J Gibson💯 Their egos were wayyyy too much. Mike was at least sincere enough to apologize. The rest of the group did him dirty and continued on without him. He still goes through some emotional trauma about that. He was on Iyanla Vanzant expressing his feelings about that.

The thing is…people who’ve worked with Boyz II Men consistently list them as artists with whom they’ve had the WORST experience. Also, I almost choked when Wanye tried to shade someone’s career relevancy because just a couple of years ago, Boyz II Men was headlining at our Mississippi State Fair….and it wasn’t even packed 😂

True. In my 16 years in the military traveling around, they have been touring state fairs and I was always wondering why. I see they burnt bridges and connections within the industry. No one wanted to deal with them. Pity.

Glad you telling it, Kandi. The fact that he responded to a women but not the multiple men who said the same thing about the group says a lot, imo.

I agree that everyone should tell their story, but people keep saying they didn’t respond to Dallas Austin’s comments, and that is not true. Wanye didn’t respond, because Nate responded to Dallas rather quickly. I think his response is still on his Twitter account. And I have to say, Dallas went on mute after Nate’s response, so I have to wonder...
@KezzyBoo3 жыл бұрын
@@keshamassington5780 Good to know. Did they respond to Babyface, too? I still believe there's something behind his response. He still did the most by going in on her singing. He's been funny towards Brandy, too. I'll continue to side-eye him.
@keshamassington57803 жыл бұрын
@@KezzyBoo Honestly, the only two people that I have known to speak on B2M have been Dallas Austin and Kandi. I will have to look up what Babyface said, because I haven’t personally seen (or heard) it. I will say that everyone keeps mentioning the Babyface incident, but B2M has said many times that they love and respect Babyface. They also explained why they felt so strongly about not recording I’ll Make Love To You initially. When they were making “II” they didn’t want their first single to be a ballad because that’s what they were primarily singing (and known for) from the first album. Sure, they were not on the same page, but I don’t think that classified as disrespect, but rather a creative difference of opinion. Babyface couldn’t have been too upset with them since he confirmed that he wrote “A Song For Mama” specifically for B2M a few years later and wanted it was the leading single from Soul Food. In fact, he also praised them as being great artists during his verzuz last year, so it doesn’t seem the relationship between him and B2M was too damaged. People try to make things deeper than what they really are, and others run with it based on one version of the story. I don’t know of any artist in the industry who has not had an ago at some point in their career-especially if they started out young like B2M. It’s interesting because I’m sure that B2M saw a lot being in the industry for as long as they have, and could share many stories and experiences regarding other people, but they choose not to. Again, I can’t discredit Kandi and what she is saying, however that doesn’t mean that the other stories about B2M are fully accurate.
