Yoyoka is so cute with her bubbly smile and scads of personality, though I do think she should let her hair grow out like most American girls, but that is up to her. Never the less, YOYOKA ROCKS! Blondie Chaplin. He was a member of the Beach Boys, and "a long-term backing vocalist, percussionist, and acoustic rhythm guitarist for the Rolling Stones on their recordings and tours over a 15-year period". On the guitar is Frank Simes. His biography is even more impressive.

After watching this version of Rock and Roll I was wandering, is this the best version I ever watched? So I did a little research, I watched many different live versions and compared them. Here are some impressions: - Nandi Bushell, the same age as Yoyoka, that's why she is here. Very sloppy and inaccurate beginning. Then follows the basic rhythm with her own fills that don't fit the song. Poor dynamics and accents. She uses a double pedal. Disqualifying thong for a LZ song. Good for a kid drummer, but nothing more. - Jason Bonham, Celebration Day 2012. Decent and more correct start, but still lacking dynamics and accents. Nothing more than a decent overall, with uninspiring end solo. And... he uses a double pedal. - Michael Lee, he toured and recorded with Page and Pant in the 1990s. Good drumming, but too different from the original version. Hard to compare. Or not, because it' not what Bonzo did. - Dave Grohl, Foo Fighters at Wembley with Page and JPJ. Good version, but still lacking in dynamics, etc. Only a decent solo at the end. I watched some other versions, but I don't want to waste mine, and yours, time. - And now the big guy - John Bonham. I watched many versions of the song. Early years (like Madison Square Garden 1973) are absolutely fantastic. Great dynamics, accents, variations on the bass... Later, Live at Knebworth 1979, he lost a little edge, but still great. Great solos at the end. Conclusion - John Bonham and Yoyoka are in their own league. I would give Bonzo (early years) a slight advantage (variation on the bass, etc...), because of things like his own songs, his band... But if you consider that Yoyoka did no rehearsal, not her drum kit, etc... They are on the same level. All others are far behind.

Very good analysis. Yoyo not only accurately plays the original(Goodtimes....) But those ending fills and flourishes are just genius level on the fly ideas that seemed to flow out of her as if she wrote the original and was just embellishing her own work...Amazing imagination and execution.

@ indeed! What drives me nuts are those who think the great drummers of the past and present will never be surpassed. All true masters of anything want their students to exceed them otherwise what’s the point. We saw with Simon Philips at the drum fantasy camp this year saying he was going to steal a YOYOKA signature crossover technique he experienced during their one on one jam. Is she at his total level yet? No, but she will be.
