In this case the characters in the book are altogether different so the thoughts are feelings are barely applicable to the TV version. Kate is waayyyy cooler in the series and also struggles with her emotions. Book Kate falls in love much more quickly and the entire drama is created by Anthony who also figures it out pretty quickly. Didn’t help that they hitched up very quickly in the book so stakes were lower. Even lower than the first season.

It goes into more detail about Anthony's relationship with his father and explains Kate's thing with storms. It has more comedic moments and bantering scenes than the show as well. They're vastly different in how they get together, but i adore both versions
