Totally gorgeous result. I love it. I love a monochromatic composition - the contrast is so effective and especially with the metallic sheen. And yes, I agree that the black at the base of the composition looks best. The composition of the blown paint also looks fantastic. I'm going to try something similar today, I've decided! And as someone mentioned below, I might add a accent of bright colour too, like a bright orange or something. Yay!

From the view of the white side it looks like the Himalayas at night so I would go from the white to black. But being MDF I would turn it into a tabletop but I would have my seat at the base of the white 😊😊 Happy birthday to Echo 🤗🤗

I did a Yin Yang 2 years ago but only did a small blow out in the center. I sold it a year ago and miss is so much. This piece is very pretty! I would have been so scared to blow so much.

I really like this piece. It’s really pretty! I think I like it more with the black on the bottom and white at the top. Like you said, too much negative space for the white. I think your right about the back needing to be on the top of all the colors but still very pretty

If you would have divided the black and white equally to begin with it would have made the negative space equal, but you already know that. It just bugged me a little to see so much more white. I'll get over it. 😜 Definitely like black at the bottom best. Very pretty piece.

This is so pretty!!!! I love it!!! I like the black on the bottom too. I just did a large round, but it warped. Then I turned it over and put too much water on the back, and it started to come apart!! It's perfectly flat now, but has a split now!! Definitely a good call on the four coats of gesso. I don't know what I'm going to do with it now!! It will probably sit until I figure out what to do with it!

I so enjoyed your video #14. Very nostalgic for me as I was a viewer then also. I loved your go for it attitude. You weren't pleased with the composition on #14 and changed it! You also blew over your blow out without making it muddy. This painting is very shimmery with the silver. I wonder what it would look like with the Amsterdam Pearls?
