Hey everyone and welcome back to Zeepkist! Today we're trying another multiplayer challenge but this time we're each going to build FAN based tracks! In this video we're going to see the crazy track I built that lifts us up and away with these amazing new blocks!

I liked the pre-built track idea, but also like the timed builds. Maybe once a month, do an unlimited time build before recording and do the 15 minute builds the other weeks?

I would suggest for the dev to add multi-player validation mode, basically place podium has options to spawn extra players based on slider so even in single player it can force the physics of muiltiplayer

Kan, Idea for you to pitch the devs, Having the validation time listed like above the scoreboard would be cool so you can see how much better people's times are than validation without having to remember what the time was.

It sounds like every so often in these videos the others have something funny or goofy that happens, and I know you guys want us to check out each other's channels. I was wondering if say after a week you guys could post maybe just the raw video for the other tracks. A week would give people plenty of time to look at the other people's videos but I think last week Dapper was doing something crazy on someone's track but we couldn't' see what he was doing. we could use the game time to go and find the same positions between the original creators video and your guys videos playing the tracks.

Regarding physics and frame rate, even with a decoupled physics tick rate, there could still be a change in physics when your frames are low. However, this would not be because the frame rate is low, but rather because if your frames are low due to processing demands, you may also be skipping physics ticks. Regardless, it shouldn't really be an issue seeing as there are common ways to compensate for frame/tick skipping. And if physics in a game are calculated server-side as well (which is unlikely here, more useful for competitive realtime games), then there's very little effect your client can have on the "real" physics. If the physics were linked to the frame rate, it would allow those who can render more frames to have more accurate physics, as the physics controller would be updated more often, even if your monitor can't show those frames. There can be many downsides to that though or even a level of unfairness, so physics coupled to frame rate is usually not something we see anymore in most modern games. Nerd talk aside, great video! Bought the game recently and it's been incredibly relaxing so far.

Hey Kan, an idea for the next theme: building a track in the void. You can do this by building the track above the ground and then moving it down below the ground surface at negative y levels. I found this idea on HappyDr's "Zeepkist Map Making Showcase, Blue Void" it's a cool 'mechanic' and I hope you try it out!

1 weird thing is... I guess the physics use the values from the last rendered frame, so if you have 60fps and the physics are 60fps it´s always the same, but if you have 50fps or 144fps it´s completely different

This theme vid release was not as coordinated as prior vid's kasmo 3 days ago dapper yesterday and Kans today.... interesting makes daily eyes on KZbin. But it can also mean less traction by the algorithm if people wait for all 3 to show before viewing.

It's one of those cases where one word translates into one of several. Kist can mean 'box', 'crate', or 'chest' depending on the context.

@@olivers3973 The Dutch do as well. "Carboard box" would be "Kartonen Doos". It would seem that "kist" tends to refer to larger boxes/chests, while "doos" refers to smaller boxes. Atleast that seems to be the case when looking at derived compound nouns and the etymology. Both "doos" and "kist" have a latin origin with "doos" coming from the latin "dosis" or "the small box in which a dose of medication was given" while "kist" comes from the Latin "cista" or "a trunk, a chest, a casket". They also have "bus" which is used in "broodbus" or breadbox, "koffer" used in "kofferbak" or the trunk of a car, and "bak" used in "plantenbak" as in a planter.
