I was 11 when undertale released. Some of my fondest memories was roleplaying in undertale rp games in roblox with my friends. I have an unnecessary amount of undertale au's in my head that will never go away. Me and my friend even created characters called Elem and Melee. Clones of Sans and Papyrus who can control elements and weapons.

I fully understand you, @@ДмитрийРубежов-э1б, my brother, and Vozird, the wizard Froggit. I also learned of this game in 2016, approximately around my 11-th birthday, and it changed my entire world. My imagination was great even before that, but ever since it marginally grew even more with each second, I loved this game, I loved its fan-creations, and now I love its music. Also, I had fully imagined a whole world of possibilities around giving soul traits powers, even multiple times over, so I came up with a few key features for most of them. Determination: its name sake, an unstopable force; gives you strength or, quite possibly, unlimited energy. Bravery: your attacks now have explosive power, literally. gives you mid-range advantage. Justice: you can make ranged attacks, just like in Undertale. kindness: gives an ability to heal others or yourself. Patience: you gain a defensive aura; nothing can hurt you anymore. Integrity: I would associate it with mental attacks or illusions. perseverance: I don't have any logical ability connected to this; when I think about the Muffet fight, space distortion goes into my mind. Just make it a telekinesis ability.. And really, that's not all!!! Depending on the strength of those traits the abilities also get stronger! Not only that, but combining traits would also give fruit. Sans' right (or left from his perspective) glows yellow and cyan (Justice and Patience) which I believe would give him an ability to shoot shields/barriers or smth. I would also depend on how you mix those traits. for example Justice and kindness on one hand would let the person to heal with ranged attacks (friendliness pellets!), while on the other hand it should give a speed buff on another person but if it meets the same criteria of activation as a normal Kindness trait. You should play Ts Underswap its an Undertale fangame which is really well made. like Undertale yellow quality but its an alternate universe (AU) where the characters are swapped but have the same personalities only Demo 2 is out but its pacifist route is nearly as long as Undertales neutral run. you can do different routes like undertale and each route has different outcomes in the end I know its not a video but its still cool (also its free)

The only other gaming community that I've seen feed itself from its own community time and time again and ceasing to die despite its relatively small game is Friday Night Funkin'. So many AU's, crossovers, new characters, reinventions of those characters, and eventually becoming so complex that it takes being in the fandom for a while to understand certain things that'd otherwise fall on deaf ears, like said with the video about that super long webseries.

I feel like the biggest difference is that FNF is easier to remix and reinvent. Undertale, at its core, is a story about making choices. While FNF has a story and characters, at its core it is a rhythm game, which is much easier to branch off of.

The situation with Markiplier is somehow even worse than you might think, because at least in your case you went in with the intent to kill everything. He was already playing a pacifist route! He didn't even accidentally kill toriel like many other blind players do. He did everything right. Yet people were still giving him a ton of comments on how he should play the game and spoiling everything for him. The worst part about it is the thing people were complaining about were the VOICES he gave to Papyrus and Sans. That's it. That's what caused people to blow up on his second episode, on top of all of the spoiler nonsense. He came back a year later for a full playthrough of the game. And when he finished it, he didn't get to immerse himself into the story because he knew everything in advance.

One indie game or game franchise that comes close or even surpases the popularity of Undertale in some aspects is Five Nights at Freddy's. Ine the grand scheme of things i'm pretty sure FNaF might be the more popular one, but when it comes to the insanity of fan content Undertale takes the lead. But personally speaking as a former FNaF mega fan, with age I grew to absolutely despise this franchise for many reasons, main one being the nonsensical "storytelling" and how the creator himself doesn't even respect the source material, but that besides the point. The opposite happened with Undertale for me, I first heard of the game in 2016 and back then i just thought of the game as really memorable and unique experience and nothing more, just left it at that, but as I slowly learned more and more about the world of the game the more i fell in love with it and now it stands as my number 1 favorite game of all time and the LOVE (LV) grows stronger with every new chapter of Deltarune, every new theory i watch etc etc... This game means so much to me its impossible to describe with words... ...what was I talking about again??

i think another beauty of undertale is it doesn't slap your wrist for not doing what it wants EVER, it will nudge you towards doing the right thing, but other then bumping up the difficulty in retaliation, and making it a bit grindy, like real rpg's, it still rewards you for going the no mercy route. you get some of the best lore drops in the game, some very challenging fights, and in the end, it doesn't even fully destroy your game like it wants to do, and allows you to return if you persuade chara. some games would make no mercy SUPER boring. with no content just to make you hate going against it, but undertale NEVER does that.

Part of what I think contributes to Undertale's hate is that the people who love the game like me go on to love literally every part of the game, even down to the small obscure changes like the video said. Then people want their favorite youtubers to get that same joy out of the game. However, that requires extensive knowledge and specific choices, which leads to the backseating problem of Undertale. Although I can completely agree with not doing genocide first. That route was designed to be almost impossible to do without a guide, and as a result it was really designed around people who already played through the story once. Doing a neutral route is fine, Undertale has like 60 of those, but doing a genocide run first feels like you're missing the emotional impact. Toby did a much better job with Deltarune in making the Snowgrave route specfic to people who'd already played the game normally, cause he makes you go through chapter 1 without any choices and makes you do really random things in chapter 2. Players didn't even discover the route existed until someone found it by accident, and for a period of time people didn't even believe it was real.

I was the one who suggested this video but I still feel like I need to clarify some things: 1. A lot of the mentioned fan games were canceled or abandoned or something. (I kinda feel like the fangame community is now just picking up steam.) 2. Turns out GLITCHTALE has trash lore, and tons of lore accuracies. It also has stolen/traced art (art not just referring to the visuals like animation and such) and a lot of the people working on it were involved in uhh… „questionable activities regarding children“. Also while it is good at making you feel emotional when watching it blind the writing is really bad once you analyze it. Also just rude behavior by the animator. 3. We don’t know wether the needle cookie incident had anything to do with the UNDERTALE fandom because everyone just assumed that it was because of questionable shipping fanart the victim made that someone in the fandom retaliated using a criminal offense. It could’ve been unrelated to said fanart and therefore have nothing to do with the UNDERTALE fandom. 4. There was/is some kind of drama regarding the music producer for UNDERVERSE but I don’t know the details. UNDERVERSE‘s characters are kinda lame (because they’re random fan characters made by random people in the fandom back in the day) but as far as I can tell the story of UNDERVERSE using those characters hasn’t been too bad so far. I‘d put it into A-tier. 5. I don’t understand people who like UNDERTALE pornography. Just, ew. I guess I just have this mental block for certain irl people and fictional characters that allows me to never under any circumstance be attracted to them and be actively repulsed by seeing them in a sexual light. Also UNDERTALE shipping is insane. So many questionable choices. 6. That’s it. I wanna write more but I‘m outta time and outta material to write about.

There’s the original one and there’s now a remastered version. Both a little different (the remastered has a Asgore fight also) Then Disbelief Papyrus or Dusttale after that. Then go straight into ink!sans 😅

I love your reaction, but due to this video being 3 years outdated A LOT has changed since then. The underverse series has a bunch of controversy and has degraded in lore and has stolen art work. Also a lot of the AUs in this video have been abandoned and hard to search for
