I’m running umbramancer staff so I’m able to keep my gear not far off from what your ranged/magic evasion build is bc I’m doing 50 str/60 perception. Hi Kanon, not sure if you're actively looking through the comments but I will give it a try, since the questions are a bit too detailed for other sources: 1. I've noticed that the shadow strike skill doesn't always trigger the evasion passive, is there a reason and/or workaround for that? (see 3) 2. The mid-long combo you mentioned (davinci - shadow strike - smash - ascending - death blow - stun - guillotine - shadow strike out) only works in T2 with enough attack speed, correct? Otherwise you won't have enough time to shadow strike back. Any alternative for that issue other than keep it shorter, which might result in no kill? Maybe drop ascending, since shadow strike binds the target for death blow already? 3. what's the advantage of valiant brawl over cleaving moonlight, especially since the latter one triggers the passive evasion skill? Or wouldn't be fatal stigma - in terms of quickness/damage - a valid alternative for in-and-out? I know this will probably get buried with no answer, but I really appreciate the video. I've felt exactly how you described it after today's mass pvp event: a bit lost, even though I'm fully traited out. It opened up a new perspective into how I should approach these situations. Thanks so much!

So for the combo if we have duke's gs we should start our combo with shadow escape, applying directly stunning blow, follow with death blow and After that proc ascending slash with guillotine (to proc 95 heavy attack chance during 6s before to start our burst)

why would melee evasion be better?

I could answer that. One isn't better than the other, though you have to consider that if you are using the large scale pvp tactic, the melee player won't have time to get a hit on you before you teleport back again, hence the evasion is pretty much wasted, while range players might be able to get damage off with enough added range - as well as protection against flesh wave, which will hit you while you're invisible.

Nice video! I have a current ranged magic evasion build with hit. However I was wondering what do you think of melee ranged evasion build? Because my friend is going it and it helps a lot when he is trying to cc a squishy and then a tank or other greatsword user tries to peel they can't really stop him however he suffers from magic evasion. But he usually focuses the mages first. Just was curious if its good?

i cant ask questions in your discord atm due to some role issues so ill drop the question here and hope you see it you say were not going to be focusing targets that are melee evasion heavy, how do you know their melee evasion heavy? do you know this basically by hitting them and seeing your self miss multiple times? or is there a way to tell before a fight starts, like dont focus the staff/wand because they most likely have high melee evasion so instead go for X ?

I did the tests with a friend, I with 1000 hit chance and he with 1800 melee evasion dodges practically all my CCs and many skills. you talked about attack speed being important, why not swap the field general chest for the boots instead, then use the shadow harvester chest over the gloves. That way you can use the grips of the executioner for 13% more attack speed? Does that sound good?
