My wife grew up with Ronnie. They're really close friends to this day. She verifies everything he said. She remembers everything from choir, the house in Bellwood, Q's Pizza, his first bands (Drama!) up to the last day as a cover band singer. We see him every chance we get when he's nearby, and he always says hi. The albums he appears on are absolutely fantastic. He's helped take Kansas out to another fork in the road, and it's been great seeing it happen. We wish him continued success. Thanks for posting. 🤘

Such a cool guy. He’s doing an amazing job filling Steve Walsh’s shoes. I’ve seen them live and it’s a beautiful experience. He’s a fantastic singer. So glad he’s in KANSAS.

Ronnie gravitated to the same bands as me; Boston, Styx, Kansas (fav), Journey, and Foreigner. Oh and Shooting Star. Glad to hear Phil is on the mend.

Great interview...great channel.... Shout out to John Elfante.... vinyl confessions is one of my favorite albums....not necessarily among Kansas albums.... Just a great 80s album, came out amongst Robert Plant, Phil Collins, Daltrey, Winwood.... That 80s shift that perhaps was difficult and different at the time.... Arc of A Diver, Pictures at Eleven, Under a Raging Moon, Face Value, Ready Or Not, Street Talk.....etc Anyone remember Flat Out.???? By Buck Dharma (BOC).... Or Cut Loose, Paul Rodgets Or Tommy Shaw... No Such Thing... Incredible.!!! That 80s shift ya know

Perry's voice is forever and I am never not in the mood for it. Journey isn't Journey without Perry.

I thought one of the coolest things about 70's AM radio was the diversity in the genres of music you would hear.

Among the times i've seen kansas live, I got to see them front row on Long Island in NY twice. In small venues.. Once with Steve and once with Ronnie. The show with steve was at westbury music fair. Phil's rody had his sticks set up on a table right in front of me. Before the show, I asked where I could buy them. He told me online and some music stores. After they played their first 3 songs, Phil needed new sticks. And his rody handed me the sticks he started the show with🤗 Which he signed for me after the show.👍 The second front row at the Paramount. My daughter had bought me the tickets for my birthday. Strangely we were The only ones in the front row.. and Ronnie was literally singing right to us.. One of the best shows ever🤗👍2019. We moved to Georgia, and we'll be seeing them here in Evans In november.. Can't wait..

Too bad Steve wasn’t nearly as intelligent as Ronnie. Clean living is the best thing you can do to keep your voice in shape. And Steve lived a far from clean life. Hence, his downfall. Watch & listen to Live at the Whisky - what an utter mess he was. Too bad.

I saw Journey on their first tour with Steve Perry. The opener was Van Halen and the middle group was Montrose. The liner notes for the tour said Perry took 12 years of voice lessons. He just never strained to reach a note. I grew tired of Perry over time, but Walsh and Brad Delp were two of the best vocalists I ever heard. And I absolutely love Kansas....

Just listen to Jon Anderson singing “Gethsemane” on Jesus Christ Superstar. The perfect voice that brought tears to my eyes. No one else could have sung that song like Jon did. Wow! I could listen to it over and over.

I love your interviews and videos in general. Do you take requests? lol Please do something about The Kinks. They are special, underrated and almost forgotten. Both Ray and Dave are getting up there in years and we, unfortunately, won't have much more time with them on this Earth. An interview. A tribute for a classic album. Anything.

1977 was my first of MANY times seeing Kansas live. The last 2 shows w Steve were hard, his voice was going and gone. The last time I saw them was in 2016, in NC. They were touring with Styx and Don Felder, Perry was at the helm and did a great job. I'll be seeing them in Colorado Springs this year.

Brad Delp may have been the best true rock and roll vocalist ever. Perry is gold, but he’s also more pop. Delp is just magic. That was God given talent.
