So glad you guys did a second more recent reaction as a comparison!! Great choices of songs by Dan to watch. A true testament to determination and hard work. He has come so far with his singing and stage presence. I appreciated the comment made about Dan sounding like Steve Perry. I’m a huge fan of the voice himself Steve Perry. It was great watching you both enjoy the total power transformation Dan and Garrett gave to this cover-Dan promised to take the “saddest song in the world” and make it a power ballad and wow, did he ever! He and Garrett were just phenomenal. In his bio, Dan lists Steve Perry as a big influence so it’s no wonder one hears the similarities in their singing. Really enjoyed this reaction and I do hope you both do more of Dan yet. 🤩. Thanks!

Wow, just great reactions from both of you. I hope Dan sees this. To be spoken of in the same breath as Steve Perry and Dio is such a great compliment, and so true. His Journey covers are so good. Your continued support of and appreciation for Dan's skills is great. Any help in getting the word out about this amazing singer/performer will be wonderful. He deserves the recognition. Did you guys actually do this reaction on February 6, 2024? That's when the video was actually released. You said that this was just released "today," and you just posted your reaction on February 24, 2024. That's a little confusing! Have watched the whole reaction now, and I think I understand...you're just going to "roll" with these, and they'll be released as you can get them edited and posted. I really enjoyed both of your reactions to this song. It's already very precious to VascNation. Thanks for the memories and thoughts of Steve Perry and Journey that you both shared, as well. 😀

Steve Perry has always been my favorite vocalist until Dan came along. You should check out Dan’s covers of Journey. They are true to the originals but elevated in a way that only Dan can do. His Journey covers really highlight the quality of his voice. His tone is so pure. Other covers give you more of an idea of his versatility and skill. I recommend Son of Pain, Bring Me to Life, Nessun Dorma, Bohemian Rhapsody, Sweet Child of Mine, Make a Man Out Of You, Burn Butcher Burn, Amazing Grace, Sleeping Sun, well… really all of them. 😂

Steve Perry with a Ronnie James Dio underneath is a awesome description of Dan's voice. Grit and vibrato on command but otherwise nice melodic upper range, and also screams can't forget those

Dan is definitely a HUGE admirer and great fan of Steve Perry. HUGE ❣️ Dan is 33 or 34 now, go back and check out some of his Journey covers. Dan has wished Steve Perry Happy Birthdays even on his 70th. He does many dedications and acknowledgements of different musicians passing.. Chester from Lincoln Parks "Numb"cover is Very special. He speaks and shares quite often after his covers. You have to make sure to stay tuned after his songs for special messages. Dan shows alot of his feelings and emotions. He's come so far. He would be so happy to hear your Steve Perry reference. Thankyou gentleman I'm a 71 yr old Grandma of 2 and appreciate my musical 60s ,70s , and 80s . Great compliment comparing Dan to Dean C. w/Dio edge. Dan is a big Steve Perry fan (as are many of us) & has done great covers of both Journey (Separate Ways for one) and I I believe he did a cover of Dio's Holy Diver, too.

I love Dan's version of "I'll Make a Man Out of You" from Mulan. As well as his Sabaton cover. Even his cover/collab with Petra which I only recently discovered. And "Angels We Have Heard on High" is insanely epic.
