I live in the UP of Michigan. Nowhere on Earth has more Finns than in Finland. This is where that culturenyounare referring to is dominant. Where exactly are you seein this "revival?" It certainly is not here.

Benttimaki: Where in the UP? I am from Marquette Island in the Eastern UP. Are you familiar with the Finnish American Cultural Center in Hancock? It’s at Finlandia University. They have classes in kantele making and playing. Get The Finnish American Reporter, headquartered at FU( I love the opportunity to use that! You can get it on tshirts) for lots of information on Finnish American culture. Also, FinnFest has webinars online and has done some on Finnish American music. I see from your name you are Finnish American; despite mine I am also. I live in Chicago now where there are Finnish American Cultural events in the burbs at Estonia House.
