I love that you gave Alexis Phifer her flowers and credited her influence in the culture through Kanye; connecting the domino effect all the way to the Kardashians. People, especially women, in this position are often forgotten and/or over shadowed by the new found power and fame gained through their support. Its nice to hear a little more about her and a story that acknowledges the people we don't hear as much about. Good stuff.

Kim was definitely "very average" and on trend with the masses but was not considered someone who was "fashionable". To the general public she may have appeared to be well dressed but the fashion world at the time did not want to be associated with her or the Kardashian brand, they were considered trashy and tacky, designers wouldn't even lend her clothes, and it was a hard no! I worked in showrooms in NYC at the time and it was a known running joke about Kim being shunned from that world regardless of how famous she was. That's why her finally getting to the Met Gala and being on the cover of Vogue was such a huge deal at the time, that had the fashion world in an uproar, the girls were gagging, everyone wanted to cancel Anna and Vogue for giving in. Everyone knew it was all b/c of Kanye, his association upped her status tremendously.

This is one of the most well put together videos on youtube I've watched in a long time that isn't self help or finance related. I know some people will be offended by this, but I'm happy to see that Alexis, A black woman was instrumental to the Kardashian success. Even indirectly these kardashians have black people to thank for who they've become. I love that Alexis chose to live a quiet life rather than chasing money and fame. To be honest, money can't buy happiness if not Kanye won't have multiple mental breakdowns due to excessive public scrutiny. He even paid someone $6k just to listen to him talk 😪.
@tommy21703 жыл бұрын
it is finance related in a way, if you think about it, this video just shows that success is a combination of skill and connections. Kanye's connections to the fashion world through Alexis went on to make him billions and build several businesses. I LOVED this content showing Kanye’s evolution and just how much he influenced the Kardashian’s- elevating their image and brand! I really appreciated seeing the influence of Alexis on Kanye. Wow, if either of them would be interested, maybe they can get back together. They both are immersed in fashion and design though they have VERY different approaches. She is quiet; he is loud. It’s the contrast that might make things work for them. Kim has moved on and knows that Kanye truly loves her. The entire KarJenner clan should be majorly appreciative of what he did for their brand. As for Alexis, she seems like an amazing woman/artisan. I appreciate Kim’s support of Kanye and that she always tries hard not to “bash” him. We all have to remain compassionate bc of the mental illness that will always be with him. I wish them both peace, joy and genuine friendship.

@JohnWayne i think this documentary gives too much credit to Kanye and not enough to Kris and Kim. Kris got them into various businesses b4 Kanye. They had makeup line, clothing stores etc. Then Kim played a big role in promoting Yeezy brand. If not for Kim, Kendall wouldn't become a model. Kylie wouldn't become a business woman if it wasn't for Kris. So i don't think it's right putting Kardashian-Jenner success on Kanye. Paris taught Kim a lot as well. She was the original influencer. Kris put washed out Bruce Jenner on the map again by getting him into public speeches for $ and getting the whole family on the show through her friendship with Ryan Seacrest

Thank you SO MUCH for this masterpiece! I've been hoping someone with your talent would make a video regarding exactly this topic. Honestly, many people admire what Kanye and subsequently Kim have accomplished. But I'm a different breed. I see their determination to be so powerful, rich and famous as pretty revolting. I don't admire those who hoard wealth and primarily use their wealth and privilege to show off their material possessions and to feel superior towards others. The Kardashians/Jenners may have been catapulted into A-list celebrity status thanks to Kanye.. but their hunger for fame and money was established from birth thanks to Kris. Who is, in my opinion, a narcissist who is very talented at fooling the public into seeing her and her family as a tight-knit, relatable bunch with values and morals. Yet those of us with a keen eye to manipulation can see through the b.s. Anyway, thank you again! Amazing job on this!!

Kanye made Kim and the rest of the Kardashian family to be honest. No one was checking for them like that. They just had an entertaining show on E. They were on the same level as the Jersey Shore cast. They were selling clothes at Sears and still doing club appearances. Anna Wintour didn't want them on the cover of Vogue or at the MET Gala, but getting with Kanye changed all that. Kim knew actually what she was doing when she got with Kanye. He told the world that he had a crush on her and she saw an opportunity after her failed wedding, plus she saw the cancellation of her show heading her way so she got with Kanye and everything thing changed. Kim didn't waste anytime either by getting pregnant after telling her then husband Kris she wasn't ready for a baby because of her career. I'm not mad at her, because Kanye is an opportunist and a user as well.

Kanye is a true visionary. I didn't realize how much he really changed Kim's life beyond just fashion until a few recent videos I've watched. I never watched the Kardashians and don't follow tabloid headlines on reality TV or anything I'm not really interested in. I think Kim and Kanye really had a largely positive impact on each other. When they got together I figured they would be divorced in the same year and didn't think they would last. They proved me wrong with staying together for as long as they have through ups and downs and have a family and both being tremendously successful. At the end of the day Kanye and Kim aren't all that different from any of us. They may be rich and famous and have lots of luxuries that many of us can't afford but at the end of the day we are all people. I look to people like Kanye for inspiration to follow my heart even when people around me don't see the vision I do. Nice video, thanks for putting in the research, editing, and work to make it.

I agree. Blame the Kardashian all you will for being frauds, but it does seem like they literally prayed Kanye. I think the biggest gap probably was that Kris was not able to fill Donda's shoes. Kris probably does not know how to be a mother to boys, that's why every man in that family is broken.

That cover of 'Bound 2' by Justice Der (25:16) playing in the background was perfect. It fit with you talking about the Butterfly Effect, and hinted to how Kanye's impact was so heavily rooted in his romantic relationships. But also him being bound 2 the love of the arts, the music, and the fashion. Leading to others being bound 2 his influence and impact in those spheres. Amazing documentary, bro. Great work. 🙏🏾 Makes me wonder what seemingly insignificant events can lead to major shifts in life, culture, and world...

this is beautiful. as 23 year old dude i was smiling the whole way through. kanyes my fav all time artist. i love his music style. i find everytime. i lsiten to his music i find something new to admire. down to hys lyrics. but many people think kanye is self obssesed and egotistcial. i find hes just way to creative for todays world. look at yeezus, 2013. when it dropped people rdiculed him. they said it was trash sounds. now re listen to yeezus. its insalnely innovative and could be dropped in the year 2025 and still be an instan classic. TLOP was revolutionary. ask people how good it got over time. its now top.4 album of his all time. and Donda, is. a mix of jesus is king, grdaution, and TLOP. most people say its not coherent, but if you lsiten to it a few times youll understand, its an expeirence and its really a culmination of his best work. kanyes been making history. he can assemble a list of features like no one else. just look at MBDTF. those features are A list. and he wasnt even close to his peak then. kanyes is so influential he can make stuff that people wouldnt bat an eye and make it cool. hes not only inspired me to be different in everything but to take risks. he has mnetla health problems but you cant discredit him. everything he touches turns gold. and in albums it turns platnium. people are gonna miss kanye when hes gone. the reason he acts so crazy is he lost his mother in such a negligent way. reaserch dodnas death and youll understand why. heck if that happened to me i would never recover. aprreciste the greatness. thats all i gott say.

I find it really interesting that he also saw kim as an opportunity to reach the fashion industry cuz they didn’t let him before cuz of his career as a musician , there is saying in my country “logic marriage “ it looks like even tho they loved eachother emotionally , they also saw the opportunity they had together

Stumbled upon the Supreme video you did. Didn't intend to watch the whole video, I only watch long KZbin vids about cars, but it was so well done. Fast forward to watching this video and I couldn't help but subscribe. You have a rare talent sir, keep up the good work, this is a fantastic compilation.

I always thought that some of his fashion inclination could have been inspired and encouraged by Alexis , but I never really gave much thought to the idea. But this video really solidified my earlier musings . Keep up the good work 😊

I bet Alexis appreciates this video. Damn if only she would watch. Maybe we should all tweet it to her 😂. Seriously though, excellent documentaries... They're always detailed and your voice is soothing.

Thank you for this! Kanye is such an icon. And also, big respect for putting Alexis’s influence on Kanye in there. I’m gonna subscribe to you because most vloggers would have overlooked that bit of info
