So searingly sad. His mother, the social workers, the teachers, no one could protect him from his father’s severe beatings three times a week. When he showed up at home after a long absence, his mother and father gave him $10 to go away, just to keep up their ruse in the neighborhood that their son had died fighting for the country. Listening to His words is like walking on hot coals. Brilliant, intriguing, strangely enticing. But to take artistic solace from? To this, He would have said, “ There is no solace”. Of course, the name of the poem would be “ Solace”.

from the little experience I have with drugs, I completely understand how he has the 2 face type of response to the same questions. being on drugs makes you scared of things, then wanting that same thing. I'm speaking from my own experience using drugs.

❤gr8 vid. You mention of him being a sort of Rick star, and sadly, his age of death falls into the "27" club with Kurt Cobain, Jim Morrison, etc etc. He reminds me of the Pretenders song "Love Colors"....he(Basquiat) speaks his mind just like a child, won't be defined even when you smile😊🎶🎶🎶❤

Problem with banksy is he will put his work anywhere with freedom he has literally ruined family homes and shops because the prices go up from the painting being on their walls. I get it but what he’s doing sometimes should be illegal regardless of who you are. You cant just take the painting down and sell it either you can get arrested. Technically doesn’t make sense and is stupid. He should think about where he puts them.

Most of this is very interesting and entertaining, but I think the disservice you do is thinking that he actually killed himself. Apparently you haven't done much research, but when he left the rehab center he was getting ready to leave his relationship with Courtney go Solo and totally reinvent who he was. The supposed suicide note wasn't even fully in his handwriting part of it was, but that part was more poetry the other part actually looked more like Courtney's writing. There is endless information out there about this so it is not just a conspiracy theory. The level of heroin that was in his system at the time would l make him incapable of standing up let alone shooting himself in the face. Here's another clue, narcissists who commit suicide with guns never shoot themselves in the face, their face is their prized possession that's something that an angry jealous ex-lover does. Kurt was already in a relationship with another girl, who also wound up dying under unusual circumstances. Please do a little more research, before putting out your next documentary.. Also Grohl and Noveselic aren't fooling anyone, they know too they just aren't speaking.

Also Courtney knew the legacy that would be left in the void of Kurt. She knew his success was monumental and phenomenal and if he died young it would cement his place in history. Which guaranteed her royalties for the rest of her life so that she'd never have to work again. Look up details about all the people that she hooked up with before she hooked up with Kurt. She was looking for somebody to use, sadly we all lost Kurt because of it. Also en utero is all about Courtney and Kurt's growing hatred towards her. Yes he acted like he was fine just like he acted fine in every other way even when he was on drugs, but deep down he felt trapped, Heart-Shaped box, tar pit trap umbilical noose. These are all references to how Courtney snared him. Also look up the lyrics to I hate myself and I want to die. Think of how a castrated horse feels? Then the Jack Handy quote in the middle of the song. This song wasn't about wanting to die, it was Kurt pointing out people's hypocrisy and stupidity about how they thought they knew about everything in his life. Sadly they would use this against him to make it look like he killed himself. And all these years later people still don't get it.

One more clue, in the song All apologies. Just before the end he says clear as day "married buried" oh and heart shaped box has another line, forever in debt to your priceless advice. She was always telling him what to do.

Man these lyrics are full of clues, choking on the ashes of her enemy. Kurt was her enemy because he was going to leave her divorce her. And guess what her final wishes for the dearly Departed, cremation.

As if I need to keep going is it an obvious that Kurt's drug of choice was heroin, Courtney's drug of choice was Valium. What is Valium? Benzodiazepine. She tried to kill him in Rome first it didn't work he lived. She thought he was dead which was the only reason she contacted anybody but he miraculously he survived her first attempt. Is anybody else seen this?

I'm 57. I've been out of in and out of drug treatment half dozen times and I have attempted suicide many times. My last suicide attempts April 15th 2023. I always struggle when I watch something like this. Drugs are a terrible thing. An isolation can reap on the soul. Still surviving tonight but never know what tomorrow brings. @Trashartkid

Punk rock and hip-hop have always had an interesting relationship through the years. White people who grew up with punk, love hip-hop when they start getting into it and vice versa. Not many genres of music and capture such unlikely audiences.

I still love most of the music of Nirvana. I saw them live on 11/10/93 in Springfield, MA and it was amazing. But Kurt as a person? He wasn't a great dude. The more I've learned about him throughout the years and how he screwed the band over etc. He was all about Courtney and she basically destroyed his whole life bit by bit until he either took himself out or was wacked by her goons for $$$ Idk..... RIP Kurt, love the tunes but yeah, he was kind of a scumbag junk box loser off stage.

I really believe that towards the end of his life, he didn't give a shit about the fans, the music, his friends or family, none of it mattered anymore. He ruined himself with drugs and it killed his soul. I've seen it happen to many cool people. Stay away from drugs. Imagine if he never did any drugs? He would have continued to make awesome music for at least another 5 years I'd say. It's just sad that such a talented dude destroyed himself for some dope.

I don't think people get hooked on drugs because they have a problem , I think they get hooked because they realize our society ,filled with greed ,corruption ,and sexual deviants , are running this country , and the only way some people are able to continue forward ,is to numb they're senses to the reality of this truth !

If Kurt had not pursued music, he could easily been a famous artist. I don't think fame was his intent ,but it pays the bills ,and gives you the ability to truly find freedom ,as you can go anywhere you choose ,and leave the material world ,for a thousand acres of uninhabited forest ,desert ,or ocean .

This saddens me. All the lyrics are discouraging, leaving a message of drinking, smoking and partying. No wonder our youth is so confused. The "all about me" mentality. Happiness doesn't come from this lifestyle. Why not have positive, uplifting lyrics and show that there is still good in the world when we focus on others and not ourselves.
