@@brendaperry1313 I will be praying for him and for your family. What made me turn around was the reality of losing my family. My wife was about to walk out of my life. She was ready. She was packed. At that point I asked myself is this what I want? Do I want to ruin my children's life? Do I want to be another statistic? It hit me and I said I don't want this. So I found a therapist and started praying. The first step is to admit you have a problem and have a desire to change. I pray this happens for him. A reality check.

Naw their marriage won't be. Kanye played it wrong. Some of the things that we learn in the church, things that are the "right way" end up pushing women away further. Kanye would have been more likely to bring Kim back into his life by moving on and not openly pining for her attention. Especially after he embarrassed her and badly as he did. EDIT: Nothing is impossible through God, but God does things in HIS time. Better to just move on from the distraction to better serve Him. Kanye can always remarry a Christian woman and start from scratch, a new foundation to better serve.

I think as mature believers sometimes we forget that a) everyone’s faith journey is different and b) everyone’s journey is a process. It’s partly a testament to the renewing power of God…when it becomes harder and harder to identify with our old man. Unfortunately it can cause us to become self righteous and less patient with others. We really need to be careful because God has a solution to that which can come in the form of humbling us lest we forget to humble ourselves. I’ve always appreciated Ye’s authenticity despite the fact that he’s said some hurtful and bothersome things. However I attended a Sunday Service in LA a couple of years ago and I could tell he was genuine. The truth is he is not a regular person and most of us couldn’t walk a few feet in his shoes. In fact, many of us come to faith because of lack…imagine having everything and STILL choosing Christ. The devil don’t like that at all so if you feel led to pray for him please do and in the mean time let’s continue to work out our on salvation in fear and trembling.

After rededicating my life to Jesus Dec 2018 I became self righteous. I was so caught up in the “rules” of Christianity. I did (and still do) have a relationship with God, but I was a bit critical. Bro this brought me to tears. I’m 24 with a wife and 2 kids. Suffering from issues of my past that I’ll be starting counseling for in December. Also suffering from things that are a result of poor decisions. I can’t lie it sucks being in this place right now and everyday I’m upset, battling mental issues of my own. I have so much creativity and wish to display it along with a welding certificate I hope to put to use. I have these dreams to be a Christian rapper. And a street evangelist that I need to humble myself. And probably get a job. Over one to two years ago Kanye became the talk of the town. He did a speech with Osteen and boy were Christians talking. There certainly was criticism and folks such as myself who had reservations. But in the end I knew if it was true this man’s faith would be a hard road of growing. Marriage to a Kardashian and a world in which used lies and deception to market themselves. Now one to two years later Kanye gives a prayer like this. Maybe many in the Christian community can hear this in have a introspective moment. Self righteousness. A whole lot of virtue signaling believers who talk like Christians and act like the world. I just heard a TD Jakes sermon where he said stop giving mixed signals. For example, “you can’t call yourself big breast betty showing off your bodily attributes on Instagram then post GOD talk with the same stuff. “GOD is good”. now look at me! I hope GOD will use this man’s conviction to touch others.

I wish more christians were this transparent and real, we all think the others are doing better in every aspect and i myself judge everything thats wrong with me all the time. But it is refreshing to see other struggle, not because it makes me feel better about myself but because EVERYONE IS STRUGGLING with something no matte who is keeping you accountable. In my youth i saw all the elders and pastors and their fasts and praying in tongues, and held them to such a high standard to now find out all the crap they were hiding. I kept thinking i was good enough because i didn't pray in tongues or did all the other things they were doing, in church day and night, i couldnt hold myself to those standards. So yes, lets all be real, not talk "christianise" lets be real because in the end it is those struggles that remind us WHY we need Jesus. Ill be honest, i never like Ye, never thought about him, but i do now, and i am praying for him.

Don’t know if you’ve heard of him, but check out Jason Gray. He is incredibly transparent. Much like Kanye, his marriage ended in divorce, and he’s very open about where he is and how the divorce has affected him. He has a song called death without the funeral, and it basically describes his divorce and how he sees it. He’s also open about his mental health.

Wow. I have always had a soft spot for Kanye - before we both were save, and even more so now that we both are. Personally, I enjoy a lot of his newer music, and lyrically, it sounds like someone who has a real and on going relationship with Jesus. I know not everything in his music points to God, but it’s important to recognize he is an artist and music is his creative outlet to express himself…the good, the God, and the bad. I think because he is an emotionally driven kind of person you notice traits in him very quickly. And when he spoke on self righteousness that spoke volumes and I'm surprised that he was able to reflect on this and admit it and recognize it (I guess this is one of the "benefits" of being famous your weaknesses are out there for you to see). But he has realised these things so quickly where many new born Christians only realise it later on in life. That self righteous attitude is a big one, I've had that too. Honestly I can relate to that self righteous part. I remember the Holy Spirit telling me this was me and I was like nahhh, that’s such and such but that’s not me. I was like I know what that means but let me look up the meaning because that’s not me. Lo and behold as I read each meaning I felt so small because right there on the page was a description of me. So for this I am kind of torn. The Thanksgiving video was creative and impressive but was it wise? I can't help but wonder if sometimes we give exceptions to celebrities for things we ourselves would not do. Is this the way we would handle marital/relational issues? Would you advise someone to do this? I appreciate the humility that Kanye is trying to show here but I have to once again bring Kanye's maturity into question. For one thing, this is not a prayer. It's more or less a confessional to his wife and even to the public (I guess you could consider this a minor quibble). The other thing here is that Kanye and Kim are two individuals who both have things that need to be dealt with in their marriage, but should probably be dealt with in the privacy of counseling, not over social media platforms. Again, I believe I see and sympathize with the spirit of what Kanye is doing here, but I wonder once again if the effort is misplaced. If anyone reads this let me know your opinion. I'm really interested in a convo about this.

Kanye west is a great example of why God and God alone is in charge of salvation. We can and do specualte all the time. But in the end no one's opinion of a person's walk (or lack thereof) will matter. It's going to be between them and the Lord. And I am thankful for that. Like who wants the job of salvation police? Alcohol is the big one for me right now. It changes my mood, make me counterproductive, and is destroying my health. (Not to mention I'm a type 1 diabetic)

All, other than the alcohol part, has been an issue in my life at some point. Currently, my relationship with my finances has gotten better but nowhere near where it needs to be. It's still an issue I have because of poor decisions I've made in the past that turned into bad habits. I've learned so much the past year about better management of money and about myself. Unfortunately it took this long to realize these things, but thank God I am getting on the right track to reduce and ultimately clear out debt.

It's all spiritual. Deliverance is the key!! Most of this stuff happens because people tend to focus on flesh and blood not on spiritual wickedness in high places.Artists....especially are bound by demons
