@Blank Mane what I meant is to conform to the norms of society, if doing that means not being myself then thats just unhealthy. Of course I strive to be better, while also not straying from who I truly am, they work in conjunction and thats what kanye is ultimately doing in his life, self indulgence and arrogance are his major flaws but he recognizes it and owns up to it. He's an interesting person in general and he inspires me to just be myself.

Someone sticking your tongue behind your back is sweet? What rap song of his rings inspiration or hope? Does he truly love others more than himself? Isn’t rap mostly antagonistic complaints about the system or some person or about crime on the streets? If these rap artists truly cared about society they would tell the youth not to do drugs and not to kill each other and to forgive and to complete high school and to not join a gangs and not to curse and to love their parents and respect others and even their enemies. It’s not going to happen because it’s all about the pride, being bad, love of materialism, ego and respect by coercive intimidation that is their general pattern of success.

Everything about this interview was genuine. It made me a little sad though. I feel like that industry really is dark and we have no idea what goes on behind the scenes but most people just believe whatever they hear/read and it’s not fair

I see sadness from years of being a different kind of “black” person, different type of man, different type of artist in his eyes. You can tell that he struggles with being secure in who he is because he’s always over explaining himself. I also noticed in this short segment how important making his mom proud was. I don’t believe that Kanye necessarily has mental health issues, he’s just different, he’s a creative. Being a black person in a world that tries to paint all black people with a singular colored brush stroke is absolutely agonizing. Some black people don’t think you’re “black” enough, some white folks see you as some sort of golden egged alien to be ogled but never fully accepted. Where do you fit in? He doesn’t and he paid for that. People always seeing him as too much, but loving the wealth an opportunity he generates. This man had the courage to push pass that and become one of the most successful artists ever, thereby turning himself into a potential money making target for folks who tolerate him only because of his success. Imagine never knowing if people genuinely cared about you or if they just kept you around for what they could get. The angst of an artist. Long Live Ye. Long Live Courageous Kanye.

Beautifully said because I've dealt with the exact thing all my life. It damages the shit out of you when you only came here to help and brighten the world/ your people/all people. 😔💯
@HowlingMoonCinemas3 жыл бұрын
@BlissfullyYou You over-think this stuff. Kanye simply just isn't another fake sheep person like 95% of all the other hip-hop "artists" out there who are REAL 🧠 ♿s. He simply is a genius and all geniuses come off as "weird" or "different" to simple minds. Björk is another example of a brilliant musician who people think is weird. MJ was weird AF too and people picked on him for years, yet made some of the greatest pop music ever heard and was a top dancer with his own style. It's regular, untalented people you should worry about. Something is killing their creative minds and higher perception of things, making them all the same and mediocre people.

@Madsound023 жыл бұрын
The real irony is that everyone who has made it (unless it was luck) was kind of prophetic. But we always ignore the ones that arent successful yet because no one cares about just another story...
