If you look closely his Diploma says "Dropout University" He hates social norms.. Go to school, graduate, college, internship, work for company..9 to 5.., 401K, die.. My father is a 65 year old white guy. In 2008 he was over 50. He wasn’t a rap guy. Wasn’t much of one to pay attention with trends either. He heard this. He heard all of graduation and 808’s. He loved it. He saw all the music videos. Said it was truly the most innovative music videos he has ever seen from a music artist “since Micheal Jackson.” Without hesitation, he purchased all of 808’s and Heartbreak and all of Graduation on iTunes, and showed me it when I was in middle school (maybe I was 11) with pure excitement. He was the one who introduced me to his music- He had HIGH hopes for Kanye. For some reason that meant more to me than anything, having Obama as our first black president and really seeing people who may have had racial biased opinions in their past lives fade away. 2005-2008 was a time of America’s integrity come together in a more modern sense. It was such a beautiful era of racism being removed from politics and everyday life--and I really hope we get back there when Trump is out….because these are the times that he should remember
