Im a psychology student. Today I was sitting in class and we were looking at screening tests for patients. And as I read the statements in the "test" this song started playing in my head. As I went on I realized this entire song is statements from a mental screening checklist (probably SCL 90). It creates a haunting picture when you realize this song was released in 2015. One year before his breakdown on the TLOP tour. Kanye probably didn't just look up a random mental screening test for inspiration. Perhaps he wrote this song after having taken one for his deteriating health that year. Its an amazing beautiful song and an important one in the timeline of this genius.

I’m bipolar too, I stayed for one long year in a mental place for drugs addicts, there I used to hear and learn about my illness, i was surrounded by all this people that in some kind of way going thought the same feelings and emotions as I did, they were trying to manage them and watching how some of them were dealing with those demons that make me want to cry and were making mi life so difficult, every time we discussed about our problems, the way they were growing man that shit was inspiring, the thing is that when they went outta that place they all relapsed, I really miss that place, but I just can’t go back there, I don’t want to spend one more year of my life in there. when I feel like nobody understands me, I come here, I listen to this song the loudest I can, I cry for a minute, I listen it again, I cry again for more than a minute and then I try to forget about everything that just happened till the day I need to remember that there it’s more people like me out there. I truly feel like that, I understand what you are going through, and I just want to congratulate you for been this brave, keep pushing and don’t let those demons beat you

I love the fact that he's always honest even though he has to express his thoughts in a raw and mean way. I just feel like pain is a very personal thing, so the only way to express that is by being true and tell every detail and thought, even the ones that would make him look bad or are just strange. If a thought is not harmful, it couldnt be wrong. And the music that he makes always helps him express himself, and that's why I think he's a very valuable artist, because artists should do exactly what he does.

I heard this song awhile but I’m only just returning this song through the documentary and I’m realizing this is exactly how I feel with everything that’s been going on in my real life. This song cuts deep with how my mental is currently.

i feel like that. i feel like that all the time. every other week im rebuilding everything i tear down. the high and low are taking a toll. and the inconsistency makes me anxious. but heres to those who just wont quit. because the dream of making it, looks to sweet to give in.
