The brown sugar boba tea tastes like vanilla ice cream to me. I like taro milk tea. Taiwan is famous for their taro. If you have a chance or see it around, they have this one burrito sort of thing...taro ice cream covered with crushed peanuts and cilantro and then it's wrapped in something like a mushu wrapper. Sounds very weird, but it's delicious. Hope you guys get to try stinky tofu. Oyster omlette is one of my favorite.

Love your videos! I miss Taiwan so much! I was supposed to move there in May, but obviously COVID got in the way. Living in Korea now instead and hoping for Taiwan next year! So jealous of all the food you guys are eating

Welcome to Taiwan ! You could also check the channels of some active foreign youtubers living in Kaohsiung, such as "WesDavis", and "Bonjour Louis", and may find some interesting spots for your reference. Maybe you could get to know each other and go out together in the future. By the way, despite of its spelling, "Kaohsiung" is pronounced more like "Kaoshiung" in Mandarin. You could ask some locals to read the name of this beautiful city for you.... PS. There's a couple from Belgium who had stayed in Taiwan for several months this year. They traveled around Taiwan, and uploaded many videos introducing Taiwan to their youtube channel - "Naick & Kim". It's a good way to know Taiwan better in a short period. Hope you could enjoy yourselves soon, and find Taiwan as your second home.

When talking about Kaohsiung City, you shouldn't miss Liuqiu island, Sizihwan beach, Qijin sunset bar, and the National Sun-Yat Sen university these places. The city has more than beautiful hidden sceneries, fresh seafood, Michelin star restaurant, and street foods for you to discover.

Jay Wen thank you for the tips! We visited Qijin sunset bar and it was lovely - a great spot to eat and see the ocean. Liuqiu Island is high on our list of things to do next, there’s good snorkeling there right?
