Great review! It's a very thorough and informative comparison. I could never quite convince myself to buy the Kaotica Eyeball although I thought about it several times & tried one out as well lol! I do like this Iconicmars Comet option, price and sound quality (listened on headphones & laptop speakers). So I gotta pick it up now haha! Thanks for the review & code.

They sound very different if you can hear it, the eyeball is more wider & open sound vs. the comet and that has everything to do with size.Most probably won't hear this change, but it's def just a bit more open

Yup your are correct. Most people wont hear the difference when they see the price tag. You should see the comments on my review on the Eye Ball. People would rather find a $10 version of these on amazon and then later bitch about it.🤷🏽‍♂️

What you should realize is the mic inside these filters is still a mic which will pick up sound regardless. The filters is to assist with room ambience. It’s not noise cancellation!!!

@@mikesuniverse1789 You need to build an isolated booth or record in the closet. These filters wont work for you if your environment is too loud. It can help a little but maybe you should buy one one and make a video review for others to see and hear if it makes a difference. Most people in your situation just go find a studio to record in because clean recordings is key to clean mix or audio export to what ever you're doing.

I get that it's sponsored, great video. But from a sonic perspective, it is certainly better, the eye ball that is. I wish it wasn't obviously but there's a very very very evident sonic fullness evident on my Mac speakers and iPhone that I can hear off bat. Some might argue that you can just eq it out but im about to drop bands on a mic I don't wanna skimp on the last part of the chain. Great video, very clear who won

Absolutely. My job is to be transparent. If you feeling the eyeball, then all means go that route. I have them both. My main point in this video is that if people need something like this and budget is the issue, the iconic mars can get the job done. To most people they won’t even notice the difference if you paid $200+ vs $100 for foam.

That’s what it sound like to you? Ever think about how close I am to the mic that creates change in volume each time I move in and out of the mic? Are you aware that I know how to project my voice louder or softer without touching a knob? The real point of the video is to show people comparison in quality and if budget is a concern, the Comet can do the trick just like the eye ball. Don’t let the “volume” fool you. Listen for clarity and quality.

Iconicmars Comet is better more flat (dry Signal) less room. Kaotica Eyeball sounds like it was processed with a little reverb, yes it sound better but would be harder to fix in a mix.

Well I didn't think you would use the comet for these style mics. you'll have to buy thick foam custom designed for those models or be creative designing something of your own. I know the SM7B comes with it's own as apart of its design.
