These days that's difficult to differentiate...but industrial design disciplines are more oriented towards working with materials. Ofcourse, you work on digital software for rendering and presentation but that's not all the time.

What is the difference between Product design and industrial design ?

Product is a sub-category of industrial design. Apart from that, these days product can be classified as digital or physical/tangible products. Digital product design overlaps with UI-UX or interaction design streams.

Good college gives you exposure and good peer group to learn and grow together. Having said that, IITs do not have course on filmmaking only (it is part of curriculum as a subject to explore).
