Branson 78HP Tractor Power Shuttle in action while bush hogging

Just got my new Branson Tractor a few days ago and I am still getting used to the 'Power shuttle' transmission. For the last 3 years I've been using a Kioti Hydrostatic transmission (NX6010). I thought I'd take a few cab clips of changing direction while bush hogging with the power shuttle. I've learned that when you are directly changing directions Up and downhill that there is a bit more pause, which is pretty much common sense. But on the flat ground you can see that the change in direction is almost simultaneous. The tractor is a 2018 Branson 7845C, which is a 78 HP 4 wheel drive utility tractor. Must have feature, that shuttle shift, very cool you have a John Deere suicide knob on your new Branson, now straighten out the steering wheel center cap....Lol I think you are madly in love with your new tractor, happy to see you enjoying it !!

Thats a nice feature! I know on the 30hp Branson i looked at it didnt have that feature, the guy told me it was only on the bigger tractors! Awesome looking field there also!

Yep the shuttle is very good , the steering knob comes into its own when cutting grass 😏😏😏 gk Uk 🇬🇧

For loader work which transmission do you prefer? Looking at Kioti hydro vs power shuttle. I know it goes from compact to utility tractor with Kioti.

Well you don't even need the clutch then. Basically only need it when you are starting or changing the gear range. You can still switch between gears 1 and 4 because it has that little blue clutch button which is really sweet.

A power shuttle is def nicer than having to clutch for F and R, but u still have to play around with the gears until you get the speed you need - correct? Unlike a hydro you prob either going to be in Low or Medium.

Yes you are right, the hydro's are much easier to operate, but at least a shuttle makes it easier than a clutch. But still a lot of dinking around finding your right gear. Thanks.

Out of curiosity; can your drown make it to the other property, and back on one charge?

No can do..... I think the max range is 4 miles unobstructed.... That's a wee bit too far. I think it is 16 miles via road, so mabye 10 or 12 in a straight line??
