Great demo. While the hydro might seem easier, i agree that the shuttle is easier on the operator for many tasks. I’ve also noticed from the specs that there’s a bigger drop between engine horsepower & PTO horsepower w/ a hydro. Power shuttle seems like the ideal compromise between a mechanical & a hydro. I’m curious to see if Massey’s brake to neutral feature catches on.

I currently have a L3901 hydrostatic....looking at Massey Ferguson 2606H....nice explanation....answered several questions I had.

Gear shift I've come to learn is more effort to and it has bigger balls and is probably more reliable if driven correctly and taken care of. Hydrostatic I feel like loses more power than people realize. Although for a small homestead, a hydro compact would probably be a more efficient choice. I still like the shuttle, though.

Just got my 6075. Thanks for the video! First tractor. So there’s a steep learning curve. My question is, I was digging into dirt under a small tree I pushed over and the tractor stalled. Was in Medium 1 gear. Any suggestions?

If on a hill Slashing/bush hogging 5-7ft grass, do I need to use the clutch at all when trying to change direction from reverse going up the hill to forward to go back down?

That would be a power shuttle, or PST, correct? Doesn't the "standard?" shuttle for Mahindra require the clutch for direction changes?

If it is in gear that applying the brake would kill it.

Yes but you have to push the clutch in while you brake

Only when the machine is already moving. If it is at a stop I dont need to use the clutch

That is power shuttle, not shuttle shift - they are different
