I'm pretty sure there IS something hinky is going on with that marriage. In the comics, Imra does some unethical things with her powers as a telepath "for the greater good." She is also married to Lightning Lad and has kids! But the CW has a reputation for adding twists that don't exist in the comics, so who knows? We'll just have to wait and see what the writers have up their sleeves.

I think mon-el’s wife tricked him into loving her. Saturn girl (mon-el’s wife) is known to make her teammates thinks things bc to her it’s helping. She must have saw that mom-el was never going to move on since he was so upset over leaving Kara, that to her making him thinking he was falling in love with her was helping him.
