I love how they all put feeling into _how_ they break the wall. It goes with their character. Like, Kara, the gentle mother, pushes it away. Marcus, the fighter, punches it down. Connor, the badass cop, tears it out of his way. They all did it their own way, because they were making their own decisions. I really like how they each break the wall in a different way. Kara was somewhat hesitant, almost like she was unsure. Markus used brute force and strength to bring it down. And Connor was more precise, aiming carefully at certain areas of the wall when he tore it down.

Autumn Carter true, it’s probably because Markus is the same type as Connor. The Rk series, Markus is Rk 200 while Connor is Rk 800, this means that Markus probably had more of an effect because he was a similar type. Also north turning Connor deviant shouldn’t have been an option, but that’s just my opinion.

cellano yeah because Hank and Connor's friendship was developed and held emotional weight behind it. To have Hank, who hated Androids/deviants and only saw Connor as a machine only to grow to care and love him like a son, be the one to put himself purposely between Connor and his mission, to offer his life and force Connor to realise how much he has grown to care for him. Markus and Connor had no such emotional build-up, no climax unlike Hank and Connor. Having Hank be the one to call Connor into question, to force him to choose his friend or his mission and give him the key point of realising he doesn't *want* to hurt Hank and to fight against his programming to save his friend and realise he is deviant.

Of all of these amazing moments Connor resonates the most for me, because Kara is pushing troughs her orders so she can protect Alice and Markus is punching his orders so he can protect himself, they are both in a moment of necessity and react by overcoming their programing, they both become deviants by fighting their orders, but Connor doesn't fight his orders until he decides to become deviant. Is not Markus or North turning him, is him literally choosing to be something more than a machine and then he tears the orders down almost as if he were tearing a piece of paper in half, like you would with frigging printed orders!

The whole time during my first play through, all I was looking forward to was Connor's Deviant Break! And though arguably it may not have been as epic as Kara or Markus's, it was actually still EXTREMELY satisfying. I'm not even ashamed to say that I was going through guides to ensure it. It may not have been the most conventional way to play but I'd feel more regret if I had "lost" Connor and prevented him from becoming deviant. (I know that I could always replay it, but there's a few other games I've been meaning to get to. So my "first play-through tends to be only/last play-through unless I get a REALLY strong urge to play it again after a long point of time.)

Marcus's is in my opinion the best sequence, not only because he tears down the wall coolly, but also because in the moments leading up to it, his thoughts go: "Don't fight back" "Don't fight back?" "This is not fair" "This is not *fair*". While everyone else seems to just become deviant after a bit of thinking, Marcus has a bit of doubt first before coming to the conclusion. The choice of letting us see his thoughts and the second line he thinks "Don't fight back?" really helps in making it seem real, as in a situation like this where someone challenges an assumed norm/rule with their own judgement, they tend to reconsider it before coming to their own conclusion.

For Markus it was pounding and attacking because that’s what you do when you defend yourself which is what he was going to do once he was deviant. I know the 'popular' choice is to have Connor go deviant but to be honest I find his machine version so MUCH more interesting. When Connors choose to stay as a machine he edges on the border of being good and evil (not to mention also a badass). It adds complexity to his character, is he the antagonist? or just a machine running it's program. And you gotta admire the guy's determination and willingness to die. To me this is far more intriguing than just another android discovering they have 'feelings' and going deviant. Plus Machine Connor's route in Markus' revolution is amazing.
