Once again, I really like these travel episodes, when life doesn't give you what you expect. No matter how much you take, no matter how long your day is, you make the best of it and always have a smile at the end. Thank-you! I would rather watch your vlog than a professional travel program because it feels like I actually get to visit these places with you guys!! Y'all are awesome!! God bless you!!

I loved watching this. I live in Thailand now, in Chiang Mai. Everytime I have gone to Bangkok it is an experience. Some friends and I want to Bangkok a few years ago and we were going to take the sleeper train back but we missed it. We hopped on motorcycle taxis and chanced down our train. I think that was the scariest experience of my life. They went even faster and crazier than the tuk tuks. Sitting on one of those carrying our food container, holding a Thai Ice tea and with my backpack on. I am so surprised I did not die.

@troodon10966 жыл бұрын
+Maiyo Herero The road between Poipet (just on the Cambodian side of the Thailand/Cambodia border) to Siem Reap took me 7 hours when I went, back in 1998. Now I hear it can be done in 2 1/2 to 3 hours, in theory (only counting when the vehicle is moving though; Kara and Nate had to wait for a lot of delays and transfers). Keep in mind that's not Bangkok to Siem Reap, that's just from the border to there. Bangkok to the Cambodian border probably takes about 3 to 4 hours by bus. In theory Bangkok to Siem Reap would take about 7 hours, not counting transfers, stops, and the time it takes to cross the border each way. 9 to 10 hours is probably more realistic, and as seen in this video, could possibly take as long as 12. But hey, it will only cost you $7 to $15 (depending what buses you take) so if you're on a tight budget and not in a hurry, go for it. If you can afford a plane ticket, Bangkok to Siem Reap costs between about $89 to $150 each way and takes about an hour (from take off until landing, not door to door, but still that's a lot faster than overland transportation). AirAsia is the cheapest airline that flies this route (keep in mind they fly out of Don Mueang, not Suvarnabhumi, the latter being Bangkok's main airport). As is always the case with travel you have to decide whether you want to spend money to save time, or spend time to save money.

+420yers Club The current plan is to return home in early December. That's a great question! As of now the answer is... we have NO clue! However, I'm a believer that life is made up of chapters. I've always been good at enjoying my current chapter of life. Hopefully this won't be any different. At some point we'll close the travel chapter, be extremely grateful for it, and move on to enjoying the next chapter of life. At least that's the plan in theory. We'll see how it works out in real life.
