She’s definitely not a bad mom.. this mom is depressed. And she’s going through motions of how to raise her kids on her own and she’s trying so hard to understand her kids but she doesn’t understand herself as a mother
@candyraindrops4

She’s definitely not a good mom. If this was a father she be labeled dead beat. Her 16yr daughter is playing adult & having to pay for her moms mistakes. Not cool! She’s blaming her children for her depression & talking about herself. She’s selfish. Absolutely she’s not a good mother. Her 16yr has to work & fulfill her mothers duties cause she sleeps all day. 3 jobs @ 16!!! That shouldn’t be her burden. She chose to get pregnant at 17, this is not something that’s happening to her, this is a life she created & unfortunately she dragged her kids into her mistakes & depression. It’s not fair to her children. If she depressed. Therapy. I don’t care about her motions because she’s very self directed.

Oh these babies are crying out for connection with their mother. Behaviors are communication. Children talk through their actions. Connecting is so important. We go through it as moms, but oh how these babies need us. Mom is drowning so deeply in her depression that she can’t see past her own needs. Some people become parents and think parenting is just providing food and shelter. I have one kid here on Earth with me. She is my rainbow baby and 15 now. I’ve learned that my parenting had to evolve. She don’t have siblings or cousins near by. I had to become her “good sis” as well as her mom. She will tell you I’m strict but reasonable, I hold her accountable. She tells me her secrets and her friend’s secrets lol. Also I had to go on disability in 2020 after Covid almost killed me. Medicare and medical is no way to live. One med I’m taking was the only one I could get Medicare to cover. Well it caused loss of hearing.

When I first became a single mother I was hurt, angry, depressed, and the list goes on. I was always yelling at my children for minor issues not realizing it was drastically affecting my children. It was also creating a toxic household. My son was "acting out, not listening, and misbehaving" I did not realize he was also mimicking my behavior. After putting both him and me in therapy and working on myself I've seen a huge change in everyone's behavior including my own. This mom has to put in the necessary work to heal herself so that she can become the mother these beautiful young ladies need. We as mothers often neglect our needs emotionally, mentally, and physically which makes it hard on our children. As long as we (parents) are good, our child(ren) will be good. I hope this family heals and find the love they all so desperately need.

You must find other ways to engage them, not just fussing at them. Acknowledge what they’re doing right just as frequently as you magnify the bad things. The mom needs to really step it up. She speaks of her issues. True, it must all be so difficult, but she has to get it together for them. They are teens and trouble unfortunately awaits teens, especially girls. If the 13 yr old walks the streets late at night, wake up, don't take a pm pill, Do something now before it is too late. The girls seem like decent girls, but in pain. If mom continues to sleep, shirk responsibilities, show favoritism over the older, ignore the baby who said she is not shown any attention, etc.. those girls are going to be in for a really tough time. If the "right " attentive man comes along, it may be all over for them. She needs to wake up, get her head out of the sand, stay up at night, get up in the morning, watch, communicate, listen, learn humility, seek Gods help and just get her self in gear ASAP, so they have a fighting chance. Before the older girl could really speak, mom was over talking her , being rude and ignorant with me,me , me! talk! Not that her points are not valid, but the girls points are the heart of the matter NOW. They can't fully do for themselves yet, They need mom.!!!! PLEASE mom, be awake, aware, alive and present BEFORE the enemy in its many forms, comes to get them !! In Jesus. Amen. Best.

And having teenagers that "think" they grown or know it all adds even more stress. I can say that the 16yr is very mature and I think she understands the load that her mom carries which is why she is willing to work. The 13yr old is simply acting out and needs to be surrounded by love and support because at that age, it is hard to "make" them do anything. I'm praying that this mom finds strength and get herself some support as well. Hugs and prayers for this beautify family. #LOVEISTHEMEDICINE

I remember dating many females like this and it was tough. I tried hard to support them and give understanding to the kids as a role model. The kids loved me, and I mean every female I dated, there kids had liked me. Only issue here and I understand the single mother struggle but you must have the tools like Karmo to help these type of females as a man. She’s a single mother, domestic violence relationship, financial hardship, depression, life & then to raise 2 teenage girls on your own?! Omg, I know it’s hard. That mama got this, I can see the determination, she wants to change & get better for her girls & I love that. The older girl is well put together, working at 16 & well spoken! The younger one does need more attention & love & she too will be alright, very well spoken when it came to her feelings & I love that. Girls her age are “too cute” to express themselves, but she did it. This family will get better.

I am not done watching the video yet, but i just wanna say that both the Mom and her children are valid in their feelings. People do not understand what it truly means to be a single mom. No support, the weight of finances, taking care of their children, a role meant for two is completely on you, single mom's sacrifice their own self care for their children, this mother being overwhelmed is beyond valid. She is struggling with depression too. On the other hand, these children never asked for a single mom, they came to this world needing love needing support needing guidance, they need their mothers love, and they are being forced to grow up early. all people involved deserve support and grace, and i hope no one is judging just one party.

That is all I ever asked for. I like keeping in contact with my adult children, if you guys don’t kudos for you. Everyone is different. All I want to know is if they are ok and that they live or even care about me to call me once a month. @Danielle Harding so you don't have a good relationship with them. Maybe you should directly ask them why they connect with dad and not you. Sometimes parents nag their children too much or are too negative so the kids avoid them. It's obvious their is a reason for their actions towards you. If All of them are doing it there must be a reason but you have to be willing to discuss your feelings with them. For example everytime I met a guy my mom would automatically get sad and lament how the guy was going to take my money and house..she was so depressing. So I would do things and never tell her to avoid drama. Sometimes kids want to avoid conflict.

Recently I confronted her and told her she tells me not to talk over her but you do me like that all time. She got mad and said she can do that because she’s grown even though it’s not right. And she was like when she starts talking I have to shut up . She does that even when I start talking first or try to explain myself.💯I also felt when she talked about her mom never asks us how her day is. My auntie is like that and was like that when I was growing up living with her, I’d have things to talk about from me being bullied or other things but she’d always be on the phone, or she’d say not right now and then later wouldn’t say anything. I am 31 my aunt still says that too me anytime I speak to her she just yells at me she will curse me out and hang the phone up call me back apologize then curse me out again. Your aunt anger to you is because she was jealous of your mother she was probably not given the same attention as your mom or not as pretty or both now here you come along and you remind her of her in personality traits and appearance and she doesnt like you! My other aunt via marriage who married my uncle who is my aunt I lived with brother she told me she felt bad for me and only let me stay with them when my grandma died a few years ago because the only person who ever loved me has died and eventhough she loved me she did not like me. Why would she say that I never understood why until now because she been in my family since shes like 14 years old shes been their before I ever was born she felt the same way about me that my actual aunt did and that hurt but I am just letting you know you didnt do nothing wrong they just didnt like your mother and the hatred is very bad that aunt via marriage when I woke her up one night and I told her I got a call my mom had been in a coma and was dying she looked at me and went back to sleep never cared at all my mom died. #Karamo I would love if could speak with you. It is a mother's responsibility to be a mother 'in spite of' and 'despite of'. Being a mother is not dependent on how your child looks, behaves, and feels. Instead, it is highly correlated to genuine love and that yearning to hold them together even when you are falling apart. This mom still has time to fix things. My mother really messed things up, with this same approach. Today, I struggle to connect emotionally and I am slow to both achieve and attain the very things I need to be successful or even content in life. That 16-year-old looks tired, I saw myself in her with tears in my eyes. I can tell she's a good kid. #KaramoShow

As a teacher of high school students this is not an anomaly. I have students in my classroom regularly releasing emotional distress from toxic stressors at home. This generation is so overwhelmed emotionally and the events of Covid only exacerbated the neglect, isolation, and abandonment they are feeling. This mother is giving what she has to give, can she learn to give more yes but we cannot expect someone to give (emotionally) what they do not poses. Becoming a teenage parent is overwhelming and it sounds like she has multiple children. Therapy and parenting classes would be most beneficial for her and them. This is not making excuses for the mother but what you don't know, you just don't know. My prayers are with this family. May they go forth and grow into all that God has destined for them to become. Thank you for helping this beautiful family.

It’s so so so hard to be a single parent and then teens are breaking me emotionally. This was posted 6 months ago but appeared on my feed this day!! Mine are 13 and almost 15. It’s really getting hard. The attention I know they need but after working all day and cooking and cleaning I am beyond drained mentally and physically. You get no notice when they suddenly don’t need you so much anymore and they’re angry and I seem to be their only target so I back away. Financially it’s breaking me in every way. There’s so much more especially the one that just started high school. She put homecoming on our calendar and I cried (not in front of them) for 2 days. The stress of coming up with extra money for activities and sports has been beyond anything I thought I was capable of. The oldest has a boyfriend now so that’s a whole other book I could write. I’m sending love and light to this family. Karamo is great at putting things in perspective and giving me things to think about. ❤😊

I really feel so many emotions watching this towards the mother and children as well because because a difficult situation and I can relate to it cos I'm going through it myself without anybody literally anybody to you and talk to me to be there for me. I also think children don't fully understand mother's sacrifice and the situation. But there's no love like mother's love and I'm sure she tried her best and she has done her best that she can. But what happens when your best is not good enough? I don't know but I really feel pain up the mother and their children as well but however I think they're mother should be appreciated more because she could literally done everything for them and no matter how young they are in they are not really too young they should be able to understand what mother is going through🙁💗 best of luck to this beautiful family because they indeed are a great family I hope they're going to resolve their problems and I hope for the happy ending

This was so sad because people judge mothers like me who have 8 children, I can say Thank you Jesus because I always had all 8 of my kids living with me ( no grandparents or other family) my kids are up to date with their medical needs and I sit down and talk to my kids and let them express themselves and I show my kids I love them and also tell them. Every female is not meant to be a mother.

This is definitely helping me this episode. I really want to be able to just get up in the mornings that would be a huge step. My girls here are 8 and 11 they get ready on their own for school every morning

That’s why it’s important to ask your kids how they day is going being a parent you have to change that negative attitude and putting it all your kids just a hug and a kiss on the forehead and a conversation is really what these teenagers need because it’s always slack of love and attention

My question is, where are the FATHERS for these girls? This is why I'm a FIRM believer in CO-PARENTING. Let the mother have the children for a week, and then let dad have them for a week. This way each parent get a break to recoup and regroup. For a woman to have to raise TWO children on her own is outright WRONG considering she did not create them on her own. Also, in Ephesians 6:4 it clearly states that FATHERS are supposed to be raising these children, not mothers. Women are trying to do a job they were NOT designed to do, especially alone. What sickens me is when a lot of these children grow to be ADULTS they have no problem throwing their parents to the waste side. They treat the GOOD parents the same as they treat TOXIC parents. If people want things to go well for them, they better watch how they treat their parents. That's the FIRST COMMAND with a PROMISE if you want your days to be long and GOOD on this earth. Ephesians 6:1-3. This mother is suffering from depression and so is her younger daughter, and possibly her older one. I would have set up therapy sessions for ALL of them. Struggling FINANCIALLY is no joke!
