@@TheWoodland12 I am sorry to hear that you are being bullied at school. I went to a Catholic school for high school, and I remember taking detours to different classes to avoid certain students. It’s definitely an ultra sensitive time when we’re young. I used to cry a lot during that time and then, as soon as I got to college, it was like I was the girl. Sometimes kids are really mean. Sometimes it’s just a reflection of their pain and suffering. Unfortunately, some kids will project what they’re going through at home onto other children what they seen because of their insecurities. It’s definitely easy to take it personally and feel like it’s a personal attack. I don’t know what grade you are in, but just know that it will be completely different in college. If you’re thinking about switching schools, perhaps you could research another school that you could go to and share that with your parents. You can ask your parents if you can go to therapy and explain the distress that you’re feeling and its effects on you. Even in your age, you could even become a child advocate for anti-bullying policies at schools and start a nonprofit organization.

Majority of black people have dark skin tones. Some of them make a distinction at the slightest difference to make themselves feel better. They kept telling me how beautiful i am, my dark skin tone is the best. Then we moved to Austria , all white... but still I kept that positive thing about my skin tone. Today over 35 years old, never used anything that could change my tone. Never and will never. I got a daughter here too, she's African like us parents. The only African child in her school at first, I kept telling her too how beautiful she is and how proud she should be to be African born in Austria!!! Today she's 17., and very proud!!!!!! I still don't get what it is with this skin tones!! Bring from the deepest part of Kenya, they still told me I'm perfect in my skin tone. But that's the only positive thing about my growing up there... hehehe
