No, having a child doesn't mean you owe them EVERY SINGLE THING. It is your responsibility to take care of them to the best of your ability and make sure they have all they need to grow up and become healthy functioning adults. That doesn't include giving them every single thing (Doing that can and oftentimes does cause them to become selfish entitled kids/adults).

Coming from a child who was in foster care with a mother who was addicted for over 20 years (even before I was born). I will say all of them need immense individual therapy. Calling them monsters is putting a label on the wounds, not addressing the issue, they may be grown women, but their actions show they are still hurt little girls. Me and my siblings went through the same thing, I met my mom again when I was 15, she was still on drugs, I remember when I became an adult I blamed her for me turning out the way I did, which I also became addicted to drugs, At 43 I learned I had choices back then, it took me going through the same things she did to understand that I had misplaced blame and resentment. I chose to be a better human being. I forgave her, and I'm still learning how to forgive myself.

Okay, so everybody wrong. First and foremost, the mother can’t expect respect from her children when they consistently feel abandoned. As a child who grew up with a drug addicted mother, I OVERSTAND their frustration. However, they can’t snap at her at every conversation…it’ll get them no where. They need to learn to love their mother from a far. There will be no resolve if mom doesn’t acknowledge, apologize and change her behaviors & the daughters have to be OPEN and receptive to whatever changes mom makes. It’s a process but everyone has to be willing to let the past go because it literally does not serve them.

Children don’t come with instructions as parents we do what we think is the right thing at that moment. And these kids are beyond cruel abusive and disrespectful to the mom. Therefore they need to stay apart from each other but the kids refuse to leave the mom alone. Too much to the story I can write a book about all this family drama. (Insider)

I am a mother of one and I will never understand the addiction to illegal drugs because I didn't travel that path. I do however have family members who were addicted and with the one's that couldn't get it together it was family members that banded together to raise their children. Every child born into the world deserves the love and obligations of their parents. Addicted parents need to understand that their children are sometimes broken inside and the children are the victims of their addiction. Once the parents are in recovery they need to know that they need to stop denying the damage that was done. Drugs destroy families and communities. Listen to the children and swallow the pain that they feel and the hurt that they have experienced. Therapy and counseling is needed individually and as a family and hopefully they can began to mend.

This was the realest episode. Clearly shows how the talk and the walk are so different. And it takes WORK, a LOT of work to have your actions match your intentions. They both deserve empathy. But if they want to be together and have 1 family unit for their kids... They need to do some work for themselves before they can achieve that. You cannot pour from an empty cup, and you have to put on the oxygen mask on yourself before helping others.

I know how they feel. My mother was an alcoholic and took handfuls of sleeping pills to where she was always passed out and out of it. I was 12 and my dad rushed me to the hospital because i was throwing up nonstop and it hurt so bad. Anyway, even when i was at the hospital, it took like day 4 for her to show up... And the times she wasn't there, CPS kept asking me questions wanting me to explain why i had a stress ulcer at 12 and i lied and said i was overwhelmed with school. Memories freaking suck.... When people have hard childhoods, there should be some type of procedure you can erase every traumatic memory and you can get a new start at life.

Why is it the mothers always get the backlash but fathers are never held accountable as well. Mothers are always being attacked, but these children don't realize how much stressful it is to raise children alone, and also why don't they attack the fathers the way the do the mothers. Most of the time it's always the mothers that stick around even though they don't always do their best.

Everybody in this situation is acting out of pain. Your pain does not give you the right to be disrespectful and say hurtful things to one another. They need group and individual counseling. The mother calls them monsters and they get mad...but expect her not to react to them putting their hands on her. The 22yr old literally said " when it's her time to go to the king ..don't call me. The unspeakable things me and my siblings had to endure because of her addiction were atrocious. But by God’s Amazing grace, I was able to overcome and break a vicious cycle that ran through our family. My mother saw better and began to do better. She overcame her addiction, got her life together, and she and I became the best of friends when before we had no relationship because she was very abusive. She took accountability and apologized for what she put us through and she went above and beyond being a better mother and grandmother (we were now grown).I wouldn’t trade her for nothing. I would choose her again if I had to. I love my Moma! Never give up on your mother. God is able to change and heal all of the damage done. But all of these people are toxic. No one ever has the right to abuse anyone in any way. My sister and I agreed as our children grew up there should be a law against children who emotionally abuse their parents. Adult children must stop blaming their parents for their own poor choices. My mother did the best she knew and could at the time. I would never threaten her. I have her back no matter what. I have also seen family members on drugs and have a addiction it is hard for them to get out of and the mom put them in foster care bc that’s what the system give you no other choice but to do. Some parents completely stick to the drugs and just leave their kids alone. But the mom made time and for that they should be grateful. Me and my mom talk more now after I forgave her in my heart and decided to just make amends and start having that hard conversation with her. Yes she still denies some things but at the end of the day that’s my mom and I love hard. Some things I just let go because holding on to it holds yourself back in life and I have a 5 year old son that needs his mama to be mentally stable to be able to take care of him.l and give my son the love plus more than my mother gave me.. And I chose My son over the bad relationship that I had with my mom. Because at the end of the day she’s a grown woman. I’m a grown woman. For anybody out there that are having parental issues whether it’s with your mother or father or both. CHOOSE YOU. I am going from a biblical standpoint. She is their mother your days will be limited by the way that you treat your mother. no mother is born with a hand book. Unfortunately, we have a lot of family members that are battling with addiction. And I understand it is hard, but no matter what you have to be the one to forgive. They may never receive that apology from their mother, but they need to forgive her in their hearts because it’ll only hurt them. What happened in the past cannot be change, but the future can be better. Sometimes we have to ALL grow up and accept things as they are. They all need intense therapy however, that mother got that black eye no one is right in the situation and no one is healed in the situation. But if we believe that there is a father above, that will take the pain away, and that will heal us, and that we need to have a forgiving heart and a loving spirit. Then we cannot continue the cycle of placing blame, but starting the cycle of forgiveness with or without an apology.

Growing up having mom issues … I’ve grown to accept it ! Y’all 22 & 24 !!!!!! I’m 26 years old and still don’t have a relationship with my mama !!!! When you have kids and you are grown now it’s time to make your own path and own choices and what you not gone do to your kids !! Start a new generational curse! Don’t have to be a product of how you were raised yes we all struggle but we just have to have self awareness!! You guys never know their moms situation or what she’s been thru as a lil girl and how she was raised ! Y’all have to quit judging these parents !!!! I blamed my mama for years but once I became a mother it’s like I understand !!!! But some women just don’t have that nurture in them! That motherly soul ! But your mom was there some time she was dealing with addiction! How bout ask your mom understand her story and no she might not have made good decisions or was perfect! I’m sure she never intended those things to happen to her kids ! She was on drugs !! No telling how she got on them! She looks clean to me , she looks like she helps out with her grandkids while you go out and do what you wanna do ! Give her credit !!!!! Life is too short yall ! We have to start loving and forgiving like God would do !!!! We can’t keep crying over the past and the future is closer than ever ! Time is flying ! we are all trying to figure life out !!! There is no rule book to life we need to learn to communicate & love !!! We all in this fucking world that was never made for us idgad what color you are !!!! If you not gone deal with your mom , hear her out, forgive, then let GO!!!! Move on get her out of your energy if you think it’s toxic ! Quit letting her watch your kids to have something to say just completely cut her out! Love her from a distance! That’s what I had to learn but y’all will ! I pray for everybody ! Much love 💕

i understand the childrens pain but ppl seem to forget & dismiss parents pain & trauma as well . i sat here & watched these kids disrespect th outta their mom & just imagine if this conversation happened with no cameras around . parents are humans too who aren't exempted from making bad decisions & mistakes . i feel nb is acknowledging the disrespect the mother has to deal w & trust i completely understand that the kids pain has a lot to do with the mothers failures . but there is a way to handle everything & being disrespectful helps absolutely nothing .

SMH… something’s are not repairable! Loose them ties and let them go! They will never forgive her, they will always make her suffer for her past mistakes!
