​​@@JunimanyunnExcept it doesn't tell everything since it's a movie they cut out a bunch. It leaves out how Kuro was actually WORSE than Kenma when it comes to being shy and unapproachable. It's only through his love of volleyball that he breaks out of his shell. Which is why Kenma says, "I wouldn't have joined you playing volleyball if you were a socialite." Kenma plays volleyball with him because he knows how alike they were.

This was a refreshing break from the Karasuno game, and it's always nice to watch Nekoma play Also Kenma complaining about gravity is one of the funniest bits (and so real)

A fun fact about Nekoma meaning is that despite them being the cats cuz of "Neko" its actually written w/the kanji for the sound("Ne") of moving shogi piece("Koma"). "Shogi" if you guys remember is what shikamaru from Naruto loves to play and is really a genius at. So, Nekoma play style is really strategic, especially due to Kenma, who from this eps is really physically limited due to his weak body and stamina but is really smart. In terms of strategy alone he's miles above all the other setters we've seen. Kenma and Kuroo are childhood bestfriends and neighbors (they live right next door to each other). They met when they were 7 & 8 respectively. Kuroo lives w/his dad and paternal grandparents (this being why he probably likes fish since its an old ppl food) "Kuroo" btw is a last name, his first name is "Tetsuro" and "Kenma" is a first name, "Kozume" is Kenma's last name(remember that he prefers being called by his first rather than last bc he doesn’t like the hierarchy it creates in team sports among different year/grade students) And w/the acids Kuroo and Yaku are both in the advanced class sections (like Suga) w/ the former ven taking college prep classes. I really admire him for that cuz he probably studies so much on top of his regular school and vb club and tutors kenma who has never failed test. He probably also help w/his grandparents. Kuroo is just such a nice, kind loyal guy. It why he is MY NUMBER 1 HUSBAND!😌❤

Thought kozume was kenma’s first name all this time! But it makes sense with the whole hierarchy thing. And I feel like I never heard anyone call kuroo tetsuro😂. Kuroo and yaku being genius kids in school just makes em even cooler it’s almost unfair

@GummyCalico lol yeah it can get confusing bc of the large cast of characters. Kenma I'm pretty sure is really the only one who asks and is okay w/ most everyone calling him by his first name but he never forces anyone too hence why we have ppl. like kageyama call him "Kozume". Kenma obviously still calls most ppl by their last name. He does call hinata "shoyo" (I think Nishinoya is the only other person and maybe his middle school friends who also call him that). For Kenma Kuroo is exclusively called "Kuro" by him (a childhood nickname). I don't think anyone else calls him that since it's their something special (since their long time friends).🤔 It's similar to Oikawa calling Iwaizumi "Iwa-chan" or Yamaguchi calling Tsukishima "Tsukki". It's just their childhood relationship and level of comfort due to it.

Nekomata has always chosen his setters based off of their mental streangth, and ability to strategize, rather than their phisical ability, since Sarukawa's coach was his student he knows Kenma is most likely like that (besides watching their tapes) Kenma dying his hair is a short story in the manga, it actually is kind of because Yamamoto told him he stands out with his hair (because people often thought he was a ghost) so his solution, because of course he doesn't want to stand out, was to dye it but Yamamoto was talking about cutting it, and Kenma said that was not posible because he gets anxious when his line of vision is wide. Something really sweet is that it ends with the third years looking fondly at the rest of the team touching Kenma's hair while laughing, saying that somehow, even though dyed hair is uncommon in Japan, it actually makes him seem more part of this specific team. Another detail is that he lets his roots grow because it's a pain (he is to lazy) to keep dying it, and that's why he get's called "pudding head" by some since a typical pudding has the same colours 13:33 And again, they couldn't take a single set from all the games they played. So it's not so much that if A beats B, and C beats A, then C beats B, it can be that they are a bad match up, like Karasuno has a harder time going against stratigic teams while can beat teams that beat said stratigic teams 16:35 Here everyone focuses on Kenma's amazing strategy, and with reason it was very good, but Nekoma is also incredible for being able to consistantly give passes that seem off but are actually directed 18:25 YESSS he is, I mean it's something that the fandom debates a lot, and in canon the best libero is from Itachiyama, but I personally think it's Yaku, even Noya says he (Yaku) is like him (Noya) and Daichi combined 20:14 Many don't understand this point so I'll give a quick explanation. He made the effort to take an extra step (something we have seen he refuses to do and prefers to just go underhands) to convert an off pass into an A pass (which means perfect pass) so that the set itself has sooo little movement that blockers can't read it until it's already set, delaying blockers and making it easier for spikers. Many take the "minimal movement" comment from the coach and say "of course, it's so Kenma" but that's the thing, it's not, he made an effort, despite being soo tired, to do a perfect set, that's why everyone was so shocked, he never does it and at that point he shouldn't have enough energy left, the "minimal movement" was on the set itself, not the whole play.

Nekoma is always a slow burning team, they need time to learn and adapt to their new opponent which usually takes 1 set. But they adapt so strong to almost always have a comeback, kenma is scardly good at learning and adapting to every situation

Honestly I do kinda like how the mangaka did this particular point in the nationals arc because we first see Karasuno’s first set against Inarizaki and than cut to Nekoma’s second round match which is all happening during the first set with Karasuno and we get to focus on Nekoma just before they have to okay Karasuno during round three which would end up being the most recent movie that came out this past year
