8 min of Tabata training with only Karate techniques.
HIIT or High intensity interval training.
Advantage of Tabata:
- Time saving: 8 min = 1 hour of endurance training (this is proven)
- Weight loss: By a strong increase in metabolism, the body continues to burn fat even at rest for at least 24 hours.
- Improvement of VO2max
The principle is simple. 20s fully + 10s rest for 8 min.
In the video we do 4 exercises with chained Karate techniques:
Exercise 1: Squat / Mae-Geri (1x right, 1x left)
Exercise 2: Gedan Barai in Zenkustu Dachi + Oizuki - 1/4 turn and we start again, etc.
Exercise 3: 2x Mawashi Geri Front leg - 1/4 turn and start again, etc.
Exercise 4: In Yoi Choku-Zuki in burst, once to the right, once to the left, etc.
Then we start again but doing exercises 2 and 3 in the other guard.
Be careful, it's very trying. The 8 min will seem long to you :-)
