I am a 68-year-old martial artist. My school I came back to 15 years ago. It was a fighting school but when I came back it became a traditional Karate school that did no sparring and focused on kata . I was hoping it would do some sparring training. That never happened . The master instructor had gotting away from fighting and training to traditional kata . I hung in hoping for a change. it never came.I stayed to see if hard kata training could make me a fighter. I was sadly disappointed. I am following your five minute work outs to get back in shape. It is something at my age I think I can handle.I hope it will help. I will let you know of my progress

Excellent kihon techniques tutorial Sensei Yusuke. I really liked the virtual, traditional dojo background, it reminds me of the one in the first Metrix film. Just curious if I may ask do you bring your punching hand, in preparation by the side of your hip, for rapid, speed punching purposes? In Kyokushin Karate on the contrary we tend to bring our punching hand, in its preparation, starting position, by the side of our bodies, close to the armpit, in order to generate maximum punching power. Great and excellent coordination of techniques, terminology, speed and power, Osu!✌👍😊🥋🇲🇽🇦🇺🇯🇵
@KarateDojowaKu4 жыл бұрын
You might be able to feel the difference, but having the punching hand on the hip allows you to use the back muscles to punch. If your arms are up high, you tend to rely on the shoulder muscle. Please give it a try
@Soldier-of-God.4 жыл бұрын
@@KarateDojowaKu most certainly will give it a try Sensei Yusuke, I suppose being able to train in both methods, helps overall in terms of punching efficiency, Osu!✌👍
