Great stuff Nick! While my flexibility is pretty decent, I am always looking to increase leg strength with compound movements and accessory work. Squats, deadlifts, and lots of lunges are my go-tos to keeping these wheels workin:)

My first martial arts is Taekwondo but currently starting in karate. Could I use all Kicks I have learned before in a kumite? More blessings on your channel. Very very Useful.
@KaratePlaybook5 жыл бұрын
I actually started in Tang Soo Do (also a Korean style) before Karate. Kicks will be similar with some modifications. For instance the round kick is less of an upward 'cutting' kick and more horizontal most of the time. Axe kicks are often against the rules in Kumite (depending on organization and how the kick is thrown). Hope this helps! Happy training! 😁👍

Don’t head kick, they will simply grab the foot, go old school and sock him in the face with your hand ,
@Pinapple-fo7sv3 жыл бұрын
@@Luketradesforex very true, however, if you are fast enough, a single kick to the jaw would do more damage than multiple punches. But in almost cases I agree.

@@Pinapple-fo7sv someone tried it to me before (i also do martial arts so i can comment on this lmao ) i just grabbed his foot and kicked out his other one, and he was pretty fast aswell, but i agree if by chance you land it it’s gonna do damage

Can you teach drills for chop kick or front kick?
@KaratePlaybook4 жыл бұрын
Hey Sayuk! Thanks for the suggestion. To be 100% honest, although I can do the Chop/Axe Kick, it is not something I train much and I don't want to teach anything that I don't train much.... Front kick on the other hand, I have a great training drill for that. Let me see what we can do :)
