That was extremely well done! And your presentation is deserving of praise. And the music was a great touch of humour….I subscribed!

Very nice lift my friend. Looks like it will glide up and down easily. Wish there were plans. I really want to make one for myself. At this time I have to manually raise and lower my small router. Awesome job and very well thought out.

Thanks a lot. I'm still working through some stuff like mounting, dust collection and insert plate. Maybe I'll put some plans together when it's all done.

@Scott Crawford yeah that tends to be more or less what I do. I really do want to make plans for this one but I think I have to make some tweaks to the runners and tracks first

Can you please post a list of supplies and some basic drawings?

This is definitely one for the to do list!! Easy to scale to a Makita 700 series.

Very clever, i like this a lot. Super well made. I like the idea of automation as well. Looking forward to the next video. 👍👏👍👏

Complimenti Ari, molto bello e sembra un sistema più semplice di altri da costruire

Grazie mille! Ho lavorato per renderlo semplice

@@arikardasis You never know, but for now at least it works great and is very stable. I’m pretty happy with it. Good luck and all the best this holiday season.

Forgive me if I've missed it, but apart from the plastic slides it appears your design is the same as before, perhaps you could explain what was it that you didn't like in your original design and they were points you aimed to eliminate. otherwise pretty good and simple. I like simplicity!!

Hey! I actually made a whole video talking about what was wrong with the old one and what I changed: kzbin.info/www/bejne/pWPQkJWfn62Zpas. Hope that clarifies a little

Do you have ideas for a locking mechanism? Does the position move with vibration?
@arikardasis Жыл бұрын
I never really solved this. In the past I've used threaded rod and a T-nut and the friction was enough, but the lead screw on this was too loose.

Looks great. I will build or buy router table/lift next year. I don't understand why the retail router lifts all cost $300-$600.

yeah, baffling.

how did you handle dust control?

Nice job. What locks the router in position after you raise or lower it ?
@arikardasis2 жыл бұрын
good question. Right now, nothing. And it'll slip down. But stay tuned for the next video......

Maybe just cut a slot in the side of the cabinet for a threaded rod and lock nut?
@frosted10307 ай бұрын
Nice, however if you have a table saw and a bandsaw and all the rest, you would probably spend a bit on a good router lift. You have the space and money.
@AverysMan11052 жыл бұрын
Never seen one before, where does it go on tablesaw? Is it a permanent place for it and what exactly is the purpose of it?..... I have more questions but lets start with those.

But to make a lifter you need among others: 1. miter saw 2. band saw 3. multi-function sander Does anybody can show me how to do that without expensive tools? 🤣😂
@arikardasis Жыл бұрын
I think you could find ways to make it all with just a table saw. You would have to get creative though.
