Auto Router Lift (No need program)

In this video i show you router table insert plate and auto router lift build.
It is implemented using a step motor but without using a complicated MCU (Arduino) & any program. It is very convenient because the height can be safely adjusted even when the router is running.

Awesome! Can you add an automatic stop to a certain measurement? For example, when the bit is raised and touches (ground out) metal height gauge, the stepper motor will stop automatically

some type of variable frequency drive that can speed or slow the pulses would be an awesome addition so you can have fast movement when swapping bits but fine control when trying to dial in an exact depth.

Very nice idea, would need a little refining to be useful, it needs fine adjustment to get exact height, have you figured this out yet?

I need some advice. the motor you used, Stepper Motor (17HS3430), has the power to move the Bosch POV 1200 AE. the motor must have the power to contract the springs of the cutter. thanks

It is difficult to tell you exactly because I have not used the Bosch POV 1200 AE, When selecting a stepping motor, you must carefully consider the weight and spring tension of the Bosch POV 1200 AE. I think you can remove the spring. Because the main body is supported by the stepping motor anyway. For reference, the holding torque of the 17HS3430 motor is 28N.cm. Thank you.

ive noticed someone has the same problem as me. Could you do an update on how to do the wiring. The diagram is really difficult to follow if your no electric expert. I have purchased all the items and await delivery. So please Please can you provide an update so I can build this machine. Great video though. I have also done a screen shot of the png and the dimensions for the cogs are missing the thickness measurement. Im assuming this will effect the runnig of the machine when it is running if i get it wrong.

Would you now choose to use 1mm lead screw instead of 2mm ??? Stepper motor seems to move router too fast i think ?? One needs to beable to control 0.5mm increment or less when you trimming a slot as example

I went and watch breadboard videos, yet how they apply to this is what is needed. You could save us hundreds of hours of research and just show us.
