Blaming this type of lawless, reckless behavior on mental health issues is inaccurate. It is a direct result of no punishment for these serious crimes. I do agree we need more juvenile detention facilities and they should offer counseling and job training. If a 13 year old armed carjacker gets 4 years in juvenile detention, you can bet his peers will straighten up. We need to make examples of the worst offenders.

100% Agreed!!! There’s a $17.5 billion dollar surplus. There’s absolutely no excuse for them to not use that money for hiring more police officers and mental health services and cleaning up the crime. Instead of blaming everybody else, these kids need to be put to hard labor. Make them work, instead of terrorizing and killing our vulnerable citizens. These kids don’t know what hard work is.

The metro areas are not safe places to visit or shop. Who is doing all the violent carjackings? I think we have an answer to that now. Someone needs to speak about the trauma the people suffer at the hands of these "kids."

@@hollydugal5299 Use a chunk of that surplus, building a big facility to hold all of them under civil commitment, give them the mental health care they need but do it under civil commitment rules. Society, in general, needs protecting too.

Lots of mothers interviewed in this video but I didn't see one father.. why is that? The Father's not in the home likely creates this. If anything it sure as hell doesn't help

Government statistics prove that the lifelong damage to children is the result of solo mom kidnapping by divorce judges and police which is financially incentivized by government. The Hitler Youth Leftist plan. Divide and conquer. Statistic evidence at Equal Shared Parenting site.

Absolutely the result of divorce judges and police minimizing fathers and incentivizing solo moms. But a Fascist Feminist state won't admit. Statistic evidence at Equal Shared Parenting site

Minnesota has a $17.5 billion dollar surplus. If our system is so broken, there’s absolutely no excuse why we can’t use some of that money for mental health services, public safety, homelessness services and the list goes on. Now that employers are hurting for workers, some of these kids could benefit from taking part in job training programs of some kind of where they could learn a skill or a trade, instead of terrorizing people and killing people. At least that’s something to give them something to look forward to. At the same time, residents have a right to be safe and not feel afraid. Some people can be helped and there’s the ones who just are downright cold and callous and have no remorse or guilt. There needs to be more harsher punishments, instead of just letting them out of jail with just a slap on the wrist, so they can go commit more violent crimes and prey on our most vulnerable citizens.

Bring back Totem Town. These kids barely get a slap on the wrist. Now the adult judicial system is the same way. Ellison, Choi and Freeman and now Moriarty are all purposefully weak on crime. Together with Walz and the DFL, they are failing MN and endangering the public.

In 2020, I was sent to St. Paul Regions medical center's mental health ward for suicidal ideation, and as I was getting discharged, they offered an aftercare program through their facility. I was denied their aftercare mental health treatment due to cannabis use smh and part of their program was to help with any drug use, but nope was still denied. I met with a director of that program and told her my life story and was upfront and honest about cannabis use which was the only illegal substance I used at that time. I had to wait to find out approval for the program before getting discharged. Finally, a nurse came to me and told me I was unfortunately denied the program due to cannabis use. Whoever is running those type of programs needs to get their heads on straight. I wasn't even a child at the time and was still denied their aftercare services. I then was assigned with Nystrom associates instead, but unfortunately, they aren't all that helpful either since they frown upon cannabis use as well and don't really seem to offer much help on that either. I've been through somewhat of the system and see several flaws in it myself, which to me is scary for today's youth. Youth and everyone deserves better mental health care around here! Regions and Nystrom are not it at least in my experience.

Dang!! That is upsetting. Cannabis is safer than coffee and can easily replace an entire cabinet filled with pharmaceuticals. Reefer madness lives on.
