In my humble opinion, this is the best Em album. I absolutely love his new stuff, too. Maybe it's nostalgia 🤷♀️

This will always be my favorite, it was the first time I ever heard him was this album. A buddy from school burned it for me and told me to check it out and from the jump my mind was blown. I didn’t understand nothing about it at the time but was blown away by what I was hearing and now I’ve learned new things every time I’ve went back and and listened throughout the years which makes it more amazing. I’ll never forget finding the MMLP next and then back tracking more to the SSLP lol.

Soldier IMO is one of the hardest rap tracks of all time. Just look at the rhyme structures, delivery, cadence. All of it has huge variety, is intense and crafted to perfection. Like what else do you want a rapper to do on a track? This is a complete package of a song, and of an album as well.
@chaddon768524 күн бұрын
Soldier is one of my favorite tracks. It just sounds so perfect. The rhyme schemes, the delivery, the chorus, etc.

The production Em did on this track is awesome! He knows how to build the anticipation in a song! You know when somethings going down.... good or bad just in the production alone. He really likes to use an organ or piano pieces to create the feeling/mood! Love it!

To put things into perspective “The Eminem Show” began production the same time Em was filming 8 Mile this album right here is def The Greatest Hip Hop Album Of All Time! It’s not my fav Em album personally it is actually number 2 on my fav Em albums of all time I got Slim Shady LP over this but what this album showcased was Em’s trials & tribulations and he held nothing back from him expressing how terrible his childhood really was,to him dealing with folks tryna sue him including his own mother,Kim cheating on him and also not having a father figure in his life other than his Uncle Ronny who ended up committing suicide,to his unconditional love towards his daughter Hailie Mathers,to his rise to fame & glory after the success of his Marshall Mathers LP album which folks were waiting on him to follow up with another classic album and boy did he deliver and it was impressive cause Em had the worlds weight on his shoulders in 2002 def arguably the biggest music artist at the time other than Michael Jackson of course and what’s wild is Eminem at the time of the release of “The Eminem Show” he had the Number 1 Song,Movie Soundtrack,Album & Movie In The World no other Hip Hop Artist has done that since just to put into perspective on how huge Em was in his undeniable prime of his career. Now speaking on the rapping it showcased Em being way more introspective while still keeping his Slim Shady alter ego aura to his raps/lyrics,storytelling,rhythmic lyric patterns,internal rhyming,crazy wordplay,sick flow,immaculate cadence,passionate rapping,emotionally driven rapping & singing by Em it’s undeniable on this album that he’s The Greatest Rapper Of All Time! And very versatile not just as a Hip Hop Artist but as a Music Artist in general.🐐💯(Fun Facts: At the 2003 Grammy Awards, it was nominated for Album of the Year and won Best Rap Album, while "Without Me" won Best Music Video. Blender, Muzik and LAUNCH named it the best album of 2002, and several publications named it among the best albums of the 2000s decade. Which is very true cause I consider this The Greatest Hip Hop Album Of All Time! NO SKIPS!!!! Even tho it’s my 2nd fav Em album of all time with that being said I wanna say RIP Big Proof The Greatest Hypeman Of All Time.🙏🏽🕊️)

I’m 39 and was 14 when he released his first album in 1999. I see a difference in song to song, the most important thing is that Eminem absolutely loves to leave Easter eggs in his music connecting the 2024 album to his early albums. This is even before The Slim Shady LP. I have his music from 1989 and love it too.

Em was, and still, a genuine SOLDIER. He never backed down from anything. There's this story about a bunch of bangers showing up outside the studio when 50-Cent was recording an album. Em walked out alone and just screamed at them: "WHAT? WHAT MF'S? WHAT?" They just left. None of them wanted that smoke. Em is a real one.

I have no idea if you know this Cliff, but as the title of the album suggests, Encore was supposed to be the final album. The album cover was entirely different as well. We would’ve been behind him and seen a gun in his hand. There is a reason for that as when he was done performing encore for the last time, he would’ve pulled the gun out and shot the crowd then himself. He talks about it all through encore but since some songs got leaked, he had to make new songs which is why there are some really serious ones and then those funny ones. It was supposed to be TES caliber but songs like Bully, We as Americans and others got leaked. Some people were hoping he would drop the song Bully for the 20th anniversary of Emcore but he didn’t. The more you know
