I loved the game, but to say the game's ending was perfect is a bit of a stretch. *spoiler warning* Jacob's death was rushed, the final boss was mediocre at best. Like, the ending felt a bit like they HAD to finish the script under tight schedule. Because the rest of the game was beautiful; the story developped at the perfect rythm, level design was fantastic, and every corner was screenshot worthy. But the last 2h felt like a chore instead of a beautiful ride like the rest of the game. My opinion tho

I'd say that the song is very iconic for TR, because TR really rises again and again through the years - when TR seemed like it's lost it came back with Legend and after the trilogy was completed it came back with a reboot and many other side stuff - like brand new mobile games and other platforming games. I still go back from time to time to rewatch the commercial with this song in it. It has everything a gaming commercial needs to be epic and memorable. The commercial came out a few months after I beat Tomb Raider 2013 and I remember it made me SO hyped for Rise of the Tomb Raider. I wasn't as hyped for Shadow but it was still really fricking great. I can't wait to see where Lara goes next, assuming that a new Tomb Raider is being made. Camilla Luddington (Lara's voice and mocap actress) is apparently not reprising her role which sucks. She was at her peak in Shadow and she'd be perfect to continue being Lara, considering the next game is supposed to be an older Lara and they've both aged together. If the rumors are true, that there's supposed to be a bigger time skip (around 5 to 10+ years), then yeah, I guess it makes sense to get a new voice for Lara. I'll really miss Camilla.

Now, I'm not saying that that was all anyone liked about her before the reboots, but what I am saying is that now that we know her backstory and that she isn't or wasn't always (depending on which one you prefer) a fearless, badass Jane Bond, she's more relatable. The first Lara was also cocky, bold, sarcastic, a bit of a glory hound, but ultimately a great character, who is definitely not remembered just for her "big boobs". I never played the old TR games back in the days and i decided to give it a shot by pmaying this modern day trilogy. All i can say is that the approx 200 hrs invested in this trilogy, is time well spent. I played TR once, ROTTR twice and SOTTR thrice. I have no clue at all as to what the story behind the older games in the series are about aside from tomb raiding and puzzle solving because they never appealed to me and thus didnt give a hoot about them. Again, all i can say is that the time it took me to finish the trilogy was definitely NOT a waste. Just yesterday i finished ROTTR again and now i am starting SOTTR. Again.

Man, something about this track makes me so emotional each time. Much like the top comment, I was left awestruck at like 3 in the morning when I finished this game probably sometime in 2020. This is the best game of the trilogy for me, and my introduction to Lara Croft, so I may be biased. But I can say without a reasonable doubt this track is excellent. I'll chalk down my tears to not smoking cigarettes for close to three days, (my brain is resetting chemically hence the enhanced emotions) I'm quitting again since October 2022 and I'm ready to be a non-smoker again. My sister introduced me to this game she helped me get through the hard parts in this game but other than that this game was epic af and I loved it sm I played it over and over again it was and each time i finished it I sat back and enjoyed this song I expected something more hardcore but this was the actually perfect credits my sister is all grown now but when she comes to vistbwe still love to play this game. ❤

It is sad to realize that we will no longer play and hear about the fate of Lara Croft from the 2013-2018 series. Another restart will give a new turn to the "wheel of samsara". The game characters have an unenviable fate - to be reborn from time to time, in the hope of a decent end to the story. Everything is exactly like in this song "I shall Rise, again and again"

This game is the balance between the legendary tomb hunter lara and the survivor of the first game, the one who, although intelligent and courageous, was still fragile, remained prepared, but always dealt with the situation in improvisation.
