For context: The verdict slip they have to fill out does not have an option to choose not guilty. The lawyer is arguing there needs to be an option to choose not guilty.

There are massive problems with the investigation and prosecution in this case. If I was on this jury I'd have to acquit simply based upon reasonable doubt. What is absolutely certain in this case is the glaring lack of professionalism in the investigative process. Either she's innocent and they were so unprofessional and even malicious that they framed her; or, she's guilty and their unprofessionalism will likely lead to her walking free; but one way or another their unprofessionalism is the single biggest factor in this case.
