The 44-year-old Read's trial ended after five days of deliberations last week when Judge Beverly Cannone declared a mistrial over what jurors described as their inability to come to a unanimous verdict, however.

Just when you thought it was over... this defense team is incredibly tenacious! I'm a pretty smart cookie but listening to Bev's instructions to the jury regarding the verdict forms made my head spin. That form was confusing ON PURPOSE. Even the minor correction made in light of the defense's objections did not fix that. Bev wanted KR convicted of SOMETHING, that was clear. I can't even use the word "judge" in conjunction with Bev's name, doesn't seem right. It stinks to high heaven that she hand picked the foreperson, who then sent a very important note to the judge without running it past the rest of the jury. Not a good look. We need to change KR's name to Patsy because that's what she is to all the cops, the judge and even JO's family. At this point it's irrelevant whether she actually committed the crimes she's charged with... the evidence presented in no way even proves JO was struck by a vehicle, and the lead prosecutor grossly misconducted the whole investigation.

If you think about it, a judge usually addresses each count individually but during the reading of the letter, she never mentions WHICH charge(s) they were unable to come to a decision. After reading that portion, she lowers the doc and declares the mistrial. Again, making no mention of which charges specifically, that was either brilliant on her part or very dumb. If you read Mass. Rules of Criminal Procedure Rule 27. Verdicts. There were other ways for the Judge to handle multiple count verdicts. The laws is very clear.

If this jury had in fact had all 12 members were in agreement that Karen Read did not commit two oc the charges then the prosecutor can't recharge them. The judge in this case made a reversible error on the jury form that was brought to her attention before the case was turned over to the jury and the Defense brought if up, that was the judge did not include a box for not guilty, this judge wanted a conviction and she rigged the jury form to get a conviction and now that same form is going to bite the judge in the arse.

John’s phone does not move again until 6;15. But let’s go back. Rings 4 times in the following minutes as she’s speeding to John’s. 12:37. John I fu-king hate you click. Haha. 12:42 once she takes johns car out of his garage and puts hers in with the damaged tail light she is heard stomping up and down like your everyday psychopath 😂. No words spoken. Minutes later. Relax and please get your facts right, please. One thing the public chaos around this case doesn’t need is more baseless accusations being stated as fact. There are NO TIMES attached to the key cycle/ignition cycle data…so you saying that she “reversed at speed” at a specific time (12:31am) is not exactly correct. Also “impact consistent with a pedestrian hit” seeeeeerrriously assumes facts that should not be assumed based on that data alone. I’m also just totally confused about why you’d be so confident parroting the theories testified to by Trooper Paul. Just because the Commonwealth decided he was their best option to call as an expert to testify, doesn’t necessarily mean he was correct in all his claims. Assuming his testimony is true and/or accurate is a mistake. Last thing I’ll mention…ring video was shown in trial of John O’keefe’s SUV being pulled out of the garage and parked in the driveway, in the exact same spot it was parked when KR backed into it, hours later. The video is from before John left to go to the bar that night, and John parked the SUV there himself. Karen backed into John’s SUV around 5am as she left to go find him. Claiming this was purposeful or calculated or that it otherwise proves that KR is guilty of the charges she’s facing is not true and not helpful to anyone who reads it.
