Final story - a perfect example of the grift that is 'prosperity gospel'. The whole concept is apparently that the richer you make your preacher, the better deal he can buy for you to get into heaven. Whether you're a person of faith or not, that just screams snake oil sale pitch. I am a person of faith (which religion doesn't matter), and prosperity gospel literally screams the opposite of the teachings of Christ. Frankly, with many mainline churches running scams like this, aside from the standard biblical tithe, I'm not surprised that so many younger people have been turning their backs on organized religion and instead practicing it privately, or becoming atheists.
