I don't understand this obsession with trans people as there are so many more pressing issues that affect more Americans, like housing affordability. Why don't Americans vote for candidates based on their policy on this far more impactful issue?
@AImusicforus9195 сағат бұрын
Karen mentioned why, it is likely purposely being advertised all over television/ads with the intention of normalization. Seeing that most people spend most of their free time on some sort of digital device, the marketing of it is constant. The issue of housing affordability will typically only really be seen if your actively searching for it. If a politician wants attention, it makes since that they would make noise about an issue that they know for certain that either most people will have some exposure to (the advertising), or journalist will write articles about as a response. Most people dont know who their local politicians are, but if they see a name they recognize on a ballot, that increases the chances they'll vote for that person.

Also, most people in America are Christian, and homosexuality and sexual immortality are sins in that religion. Most sinful acts are typically not seen on advertisments, so when they are put there, those who grew up Christian are likely to have some sort of reaction to it. Times that reaction by every other ad people see over the last 5 years and you've got a litany of people who actively feel some sort of way about the issue.

She didn't recommend that the Congress change one of it's restrooms to "unisex". The schools and hospitals have them.

People act as if bathrooms don’t have stalls. Anyone who comes to me with the whole trans bathroom thing will be embarrassed. I have 0 patience for any of that. Anyone who is so afraid of a trans person in the bathroom needs to make other arrangements. I am so tired of adults acting like ignorant, evil children.

The abuse in the churches, at home etc.. trans people are the last worries in this country.

What a great break down of the hypocrisy and the hate/stupidity! Thank you, Professor Hunter! I must admit, I don't have a lot of faith in a population that has continued to keep Lindsay Graham in power all these groveling years, but one never knows! I believe in miracles!

We shared bathrooms before we moved out of our parents' house. No one goes through a process just to use a bathroom to peep. This is just bigotry at this point.

Assuming ur a guy by the profile name, i doubt you used the same bathroom at the same time as your sister/mom.

Right and if we married...and have a different sex spouse....same bathroom...different parts...they wild about this nonsensical argument

I'm sorry, but this comparison does not make any sense. Public bathrooms are not the same as your bathroom in your house. The people who use your bathroom at home are welcomed into your home (people you know), and each person usually uses it one at a time. Public bathrooms ANYONE can walk in, including the local serial killer. You may not like what Nancy Mace is doing or saying, but this is not the statement to advocate for our black trans brothers and sisters. I contend that self-ID should be done away with. Many black tran folks are what you call homosexual transsexuals (Dr. Ray Blanchard coined many of the terms we use today to describe trans folk). The "problematic" transgender folks are usually agp transsexuals who are heterosexual and suffer from auto....gyne....philia. Look it up (without the periods).

As a blk ts womam who survived sexual assault in a public bathroom. The idea of being forced into a mens any space is traumatic and scary. 👀 Nancy comes across a bully not a serious human being.

As a christian, i'm a true believer of love thy neighbor as you love thyself.So I put my love on trans people I know one person in my circle of friends that is trans. To me, as a citizen, what Nancy Mace is doing is conduct unbecoming for a Congresswoman. It is practically third grade behavior to treat a new member of Congress even if she's trans that way.

Love your analysis of the numbers and searched Ballotpedia with you to see the breakdown for primary and general for both candidates. We need to make this our new favorite sport and make a game out of building the number of informed voters so that we play to win. First folks need to understand the basics of the game/sport/system (aka Civics) and play to win in 2yrs....just as the opposition plays to win daily. We also need to study and better understand how folks cheat and manipulate the system to win throughout history.
