WHOA Wild Horses of America Ep 23 Theodore Roosevelt National Park in North Dakota by Karen King

Here you will see the horses as they come down to the creek for a drink and lose one of their colts who falls into a crack in the ground.
There are 200 wild horses in the Theodore Roosevelt NP located near Medora, North Dakota. The government is trying to get rid of them all and recently gathered up all the horses and treated every mare with birth control. To make matters worse, they chose many mares and put tracking collars on them. For what reason?
This video was taken in July before the gather where the horses were chased by helicopter into pens where they were terrified and some being lost from their band stallions.

A lot of people in ND tried to stop the round up and save our wild horses! There is NO reason to remove them as they are a huge tourist attraction and they are NOT destroying the Badlands!! Thank you for this beautiful video of our wild horses.

Beautiful as always Karen. I just saw this pop up on my feed, regardless that I have all notifications on, stupid YT, lol. Beautiful bands, so sad about the colt, but, nature always seems to have its ways. Maybe he was saved from having to go through the roundup tho.
