Since there seems to be a little confusion in the comments, I want to clarify that this puzzle originally retailed for $40 when Disney sold it in 2013. The prices I mention in the video are what resellers on eBay are charging, since you can only get it secondhand now: ~$300 for an unopened puzzle and ~$125 for an opened puzzle.

I have Chicago 4D. The fourth D is time. The puzzle comes with all the downtown buildings and when they were constructed. So you have the skyline from any time you want. Doing the lakefront was the toughest part. Now I have to wait for the code word. Castle. Merry Christmas

It's definitely 4D, you just can't perceive it with your 3D senses. You're actually simultaneously building a puzzle in the future while building this one.

Thank you because from my understanding time is 4d so in theory 4d creatures are not bound to single time direction like we are, they're extra spacial dimension is infact being able to move freely in time, something that is further backed up by the theory 4d is inconceivable to us as moving freely through time.

@@droneman88 medium dimensions and physical dimensions are different. in physik you should be right, there is time the 4. dimension but as a medium you would be wrong in a normal film/puzzle, they use 2 dimensions left/right and up/down. flat and hard the third will be the deep, like 3d movies oder puzzles the 4. is here not the time its the sense, can u smell it, feel it, etc. is the 4. dimension here

$300! Yikes! So glad that I picked it up when it first came out. It was sold out online so I ended up calling up Disneyland direct and had them ship it to me. But it was in the $30-50 range, not $300! It is a fun puzzle to put together, though I sort of wish the buildings had a bit more detail rather than a solid pastel color.

Fun fact, in the world of videogames this puzzle would indeed be described as "2.5D" as the "graphics" are 3D but the "mechanics" are 2D :P

I've done 3d puzzles before, and I adore them. The thing is, they don't usually have a lot of pieces. The best one was the gold lion that Bepuzzled has -- over 100 pieces, and it was an absolute blast.

I'm in animal rescue for almost two decades now and time has brought that I do pickup the "faulty" ones, that nobody wants and that have the least chance of getting adopted, is it of age, disabilities, illnesses or behavioral issues. That's how I pick my dogs and cats. And I think these are the most precious ones that need the most attention and love.

I think it's just too simple, like the puzzle pieces (the 2D ones) aren't very bright and the 3D pieces are just... Basic? They don't have much details, I really think that even the original price was overpriced, the only unique thing is that it was only sold inside the parks (and even as a foreigner I know that things get double priced inside the park). I would rather buy other puzzle with more pieces or more unique with the 125$, because for me that's a lot of money lol, I would be able to buy ~13 puzzles with 1000 pieces (doing the currency between USD and Real), and this not including taxes and shipping. The puzzle is really for disney enthusiastics, I am happy with any puzzle that has all it's pieces lol and more space to put them together, cause I can't do the big ones with so little space inside my apartment

I love that you don’t look at the box. I argue with my family all the time that the real challenge in jigsaw puzzles is forming the picture just by matching and fitting pieces. The harder the better!

I'm impressed by the passion for puzzles this woman has ❤️, and how invested in it, I don't like puzzles, and the only time I enjoyed a puzzle, it was with someone close to me and we shared a good time while doing it. But what I love the most is her smile, that shows how much she loves doing it, and makes her the happiest person ever. This is a lesson for me, about doing something you love, doesn't matter how simple it is, this are like the little things we must enjoy in our life, doesn't matter if you get or not any money out of it. Just do you.

I think the 'colours may vary' thing is due to how things are produced in the factory. Eg they have the blue moulds with the blue plastic injection material, but then they switch the moulds to 'yellow' and change the injection material to yellow too but there is still residual blue in the production line. So the first few yellow parts come out blue until the yellow propagates. That would be my guess. Also castle.

After my previous comment I was able to find the 4D Disney puzzle. As a Disney hugh fan and a hugh fan of puzzles, I was thrilled to find this on EBay. I paid 75.00 plus postage. I find it well worth the price. I am just starting to work on it, doing the border, and, yes, it is not easy. I will continue to put it together. I cannot wait.

I found your channel randomly and I really love your energy, enthusiasm and determination for this! I have 2 puzzles that my friend gifted me about 5 years ago I believe. They’re 500 and 1000 pieces each and I always have up without even being able to solve the edge because it was so difficult. But watching you strive through puzzles much more challenging than the norm has inspired me. When I’m on semester break from uni, I’ll definitely try my hand and finish one of those puzzles (while playing your videos in the background as motivation 😂). To me it looks like it’s for young kids and a parent to work together to finish the puzzle. The large puzzle pieces and the plain plastic buildings for the kids and the smaller puzzle pieces for the adult, a project to share together.

Karen here’s a video idea, I think it would be fun to see you do a puzzle upside down, like if the actual image is face down and you work from the shapes of the pieces instead of the image itself, so the whole time your only looking at the back of the pieces and then at the end you could flip it to see the whole image together 😊. I don’t know if you would joy this or if you even think it’s a good idea but I thought I’d mention it, have a nice day ☺️

Great video - thanks for saying inserting the castle and other buildings reminded you of the game of Life. My brain kept going back to that muscle memory over and over as I started to watch this video. I did a Game of Thrones and a Paris 4D puzzle. Both had a regular rectangular jigsaw puzzle of a sepia toned map as the bottom layer. Then you build the more colorful foam map (just the core areas) on top before adding the castles and buildings. They were fun but not something I would buy for myself.
