Captain Vijayant thapar was an alumni of my school. We have a corner dedicated to the martyrs of kargil war who were from my school in the Main office of the school and there were a lot martyrs from my school. I always had goosebumps when i stood in front of their photos. Captain Vijayant was named after a tank and history is the evidence he fought like a tank too.

It's the most sweetest thing I watched.. and I can relate.. cuz my father was in army and most amazing thing was that my dad was too in the kargil war and I was born at the same time.. so he didn't knew I was born only after the war ended he came back... And was so happy.. like he tells me everyday I am his reward for the war .. and my whole family was happy for my dad's return from the war and my birth ... I am a proud Indian brat !

i am so happy to see you guys remembering one of our country`s martyr hero! i thank you from the bottom of my heart !i also have four generations of army background, my great grand father died in 1st WW as a lancer, my grand father fought 2nd WW and he was one of the only three indians who got the military cross, he retired as a captian in indian army , then my father fought the 65, 71, ipkf wars and retired as a colonel in 91, and then my brother who also retired as a colonel in 2018, and he fought kargil, encountered three terrorists in kashmir, got battle injured two fingers and thumb of left hand blasted while throwing back a grenade which was thrown on his troop by the mujhahdeen but still handling the attack with his troops and killing the terrorists. army flows in our veins :) i again thank you for such a heart touching vlog !
