I'm from North East of Arunachal. The state which is one of the most patriotic state. I would say every state and citizens of India are patriotic but the emotions and sentiments towards nation is different in Arunachal. My father served for 37 years in Indian Defence Force of S.S.B. (Sarva Surakhsha Bal). When I went to Mumbai for higher studies, I faced many racisms and hatred and unacceptance as Indian. I was asked to sing National Anthem by classmate to prove I'm an Indian. I proved him by grabbing his collar and a fist ready to punch his face which we often do in Arunachal if someone steps beyond the line.

Coming from UP, when I went to Mumbai I was asked to translate every single word of English into Hindi & then they would just laugh after I present them with the translation. I then realized they were making fun of UPiites for being Hindi speakers & dealt with them very well. One day,we Indians will rise above all this. JAI HIND🇮🇳👍🏼

My father too was in kargil war.. I still remember those months still vividly. I was a kid in 6th grade, and I remember our morning school prayers of faith, hope, and strength. We were asked to make rakhis for the soldiers and send greeting cards with msgs of strength and faith. And I remember many schoolmates who lost their fathers. In our SF quarters a few times dead bodies of martyrs were brought. I can still remember those screaming wailing voices however faintly. Our colony was silent and sombre, as everyone waited for the nightmare to stop. The suffocating hyped up security around cantt and rumors of terrorists hiding did not help.

My own Maternal uncle ‘Major Manoj Talwar’ fought the war fearlessly. He was given the task of commanding his troops and to capture Point 5765 which was 19000 feet above at Turtuk. This top is now known as ‘Talwar top’ and the bunker is also named ‘Talwar Bunker’. Major Talwar was selected in both NDA and AFMC pune but he chose NDA over AFMC. He was posted at a peaceful area during the war but he shifted his posting to Siachen and voluntarily participated in the war. His junior was supposed to lead the troop but he insisted that he should be allowed to lead his troop and handle the enemy up front. This war was won only due to the bravery ,commitment and compassion of our soldiers. Apart from Capt Batra there were many other unsung heroes and their stories deserve to be told. Jai Hind🙌🏻🇮🇳

Uss time Israel waale Palestine K baccho ko maar rhai thai toh us samay negative comments nhi aate isliye protest krre honge maybe but I told you I was neutral I don't even say in such matters because of the amount of toxic msgs. The Kashmir conflict lies at the heart of all the major wars and skirmishes between India and Pakistan. The conflict began with India’s actions after the partition in 1947, when the princely state of Jammu and Kashmir acceded to India under controversial circumstances. Many Kashmiris, alongside Pakistan, believed the region should either remain independent or join Pakistan, not India. India was nowhere. India’s military intervention to assert control was seen by many as an illegal occupation, which sparked widespread unrest and fueled the ongoing conflict. This dispute over Kashmir became the basis for all subsequent wars and confrontations between the two nations: First Kashmir War (1947-1948): Pakistan’s invasion of Kashmir following its accession to India. Second Kashmir War (1965): Border skirmishes and Pakistan’s infiltration into Jammu and Kashmir. Third Indo-Pak War (1971): India’s intervention in Bangladesh’s independence and Pakistan’s attack on India, but still rooted in the broader Kashmir dispute. Kargil War (1999): Pakistan’s infiltration in Kargil to alter the LoC and support Kashmiri self-determination. Siachen Glacier Conflict (1984 - ongoing): Dispute over control of the Siachen Glacier, part of the contested Kashmir region. Other Skirmishes and Border Clashes: Periodic confrontations over Kashmir and border tensions. Kashmir has been the central issue driving these conflicts, with both Pakistan and India claiming the region, while Kashmiris have sought self-determination, independence, or integration with Pakistan. The Kargil War of 1999 between India and Pakistan began when Pakistani soldiers and militants infiltrated Indian territory in the Kargil district, aiming to cut off India’s supply lines to Siachen Glacier and force international attention on the Kashmir issue. Pakistan sought to alter the Line of Control (LoC) and support Kashmiri aspirations for either independence or joining Pakistan. India responded with Operation Vijay and successfully reclaimed most of the occupied peaks. Pakistan was forced to retreat after heavy international pressure, especially from the United States and other global powers, who condemned the infiltration and urged a withdrawal to prevent the conflict from escalating into a full-scale war between two nuclear-armed nations. India's military success was bolstered by strong diplomatic support from the United States, the United Nations, and other international allies. Meanwhile, the Siachen Glacier remains the world’s highest battlefield, with India securing it after Operation Meghdoot in 1984. The broader Kashmir conflict has seen allegations of human rights abuses by Indian forces, including extrajudicial killings, enforced disappearances, torture, sexual violence, arbitrary detentions under the Public Safety Act and AFSPA, and excessive use of force against civilians and protesters, leading to long-term militarization and civilian suffering. One potential solution for India and Pakistan to build a more friendly relationship could be through a comprehensive peace agreement focused on resolving the Kashmir issue while only and only respecting the aspirations of Kashmiris. 😌🤗 From Pakistan

You forgot to mention a crucial information about how India asked for satellite images from the US and they rejected it. That's why India developed its own GPS system named NAVIC in recent years. So that India doesn't have to beg for satellite support in case of another Border conflict. The war would have been lot shorter if we had satellite images of where the enemy was stationed. But the US government always showed its sympathy for pakistan in war times.

Being from Kargil, after all these years I still remember the sounds of bombing and shellings I heard in my childhood. My village, my schools were attacked in the war. Many people lives were effected along with our Indian soldiers. I had seen dead bodies lying on the ground while escaping to save our life. My school, homes were destroyed in that war. My family would flee from one place to another place like refugees. Bunkers had become a home for us to hide. I remember my father used to go to the war front line as volunteer to carry food items and rashan for our indian soldiers. And we were not sure that he would come back safely or not. It was such a traumatic time. I salute our indian soldiers for their bravery and sacrifices. ❤

@@GEOGRAPHY_GUYE Hi Sadia😊 Have you ever visited Kargil? Have you seen Tololing hill, Tiger hill, Batra top hill, Batalik villages and where are they located?? Why do you think people fled from their own villages/schools. How come the houses were destroyed in shellings. Why bunkers were made in each and every colony and schools of kargil . It's because when you live in a war zone area you also become a part of it. The populated valley like Drass, Kargil, Mushkoh, Hundurman, Batalik villages are surrounded by those hills and mountains which Pakistani Soldiers had invaded. Tololing is only 9km away from the LoC. And Drass village lies in the foothills of Tololing hill. The NH1 highways connecting srinagar to Leh cuts through Kargil district which was their main target. What do u think ppl living in kargil, Drass and nearby villages would have escaped from the attack?? No dear.. Indian Soldiers do fight on frontline, but civilians also suffer from bombs and shellings. And our soldiers were well aware of it. To avoid casualties they made bunkers in every schools and villages and tried to evacuate people to safe places. So Better do some research and homework before commenting and try to analyse the ground reality. Best wishes from India😊

I am proud to say that I have had the privilege of meeting Captain Yogendra Singh Yadav in person. He visited Allen to deliver a speech to the students, and I was fortunate enough to be present in the auditorium on that occasion. Listening to his courageous story firsthand from his own mouth was truly inspiring. A salute to all the brave soldiers of the Kargil War.
