That Sultan RS found behind the Alderney mansion ended up being stolen by someone who joyrode it into a Cluckin Bell and totaled it. Reportedly, he got out and was screaming into his phone that he didn't want to go bowling, with an Eastern European accent.

My first vehicle in GTAO was a vanilla 4-door sultan I yoinked off the street, specifically one of the AWD ones. Absolute sleeper in races, people always think it's a FWD shopping cart that only has good performance in straight lines, and will constantly understeer on corners. But that's not the case at all. If I'm being honest, it doesn't accelerate the fastest, & it can take as many bullets as a new player to GTAO can buy non-base-GTAO vehicles, but it's got a killer launch & the handling is great. You either apex the corner to a T or powerslide through it, both keeps the speed. Seriously underrated vehicle in my opinion.

i wish R* made actual trim packages of some cars, a great example would be the Kuruma, Sultan and most importantly the Buffalo (considering in GTA 4 there was a more basic version of it) Imagine, a Base model Kuruma/Sultan/Buffalo that has a lot of customization options, but worse performance, however a higher trim level of the said cars would have a better performance, less tuning options, but with exclusive details and parts.

The Sultan brings back the best memories. Destroying people in GTA 4 drag races and impromptu races with the RS was the best. Base Sultan was even good in GTA Online racing because the Elegy was too fast for everyone to control. I drive the RS to this day, just wish it had a better top speed.

I remember how the head of SWRT, when designing the Impreza S4 (and the subsequent homologation version, the 22B STI), said he wanted the car to look like it was going a million miles an hour standing still. The real car sure did look the part, but I just can't wrap my head around why the GTA version couldn't quite pull it off... Another banging video. These really are worth the wait.

karin's decision to drop the sultan name, call it the kuruma, and only sell them as a performance "rally-inspired" car was a very odd decision, but i guess the asterope filling the role of the family sedan made it pretty redundant anyway. i just hope they truly find their roots and bring back the KRAP team. also has anyone noticed that a lot of people have been fitting them with military grade armor?

People are always talking about how the 2nd generation Karin Sultan is a rally car, even though Toyota never took the Altezza (Lexus IS) rallying like they did with the Celica. It was only the owners that turned their Lexus IS into rally cars. Even though they were better suited to be touring cars or even drift cars.

@@DanDaFreakinMan Hmm that's a good question, I have heard of people using mod shops around LS to "modify" their RH8's. Since older Elegy's were banned for the longest time, people would sneak older gen Elegy's into the country and swap/"convert" them with their legal counterparts. RH8 on paper, classic Elegy on the street. That being said, there's plenty of heavily modified RH8 conversion kits out there. I would have to look into this further...

Still never got why Karin calls the Kuruma a new platform when everything on it screams new gen Sultan, I guess cause it never has gotten an RS trim (but the Asterope got one for some odd reason)

Tinfoil hat moment, but I believe the Kuruma is actually a rebadged Maibatsu car. That might've explained that, but Karin seems to not want to give a conclusive answer when questioned about this.

@@DanDaFreakinMan it would make sense, Maibastu killed off all its cars except it’s crossovers a couple of years before the Kuruma debuted, a lot of Maibastu Motors employees found themselves working for Karin after the downsize, and after years of having no response to the performance sedan wars they come out with the Kuruma, and would also explain Maibatsu being a arms manufacturer as well the Kuruma having a armored version as well
