Derek was a fan favorite for sure, and Karina’s personality was polarizing. The choreography here is a bit disjointed. They seem to be jumping from one pose to the next without much flow from one to the other.

⁠@@tjwash2it’s annoying to constantly see people bash Karina when she gives such memorable routines, the choreography is not at all disjointed, she made a routine perfectly tailored to HIS personality type and she never gets her due flowers for it. I love Derek but the glazing is ridiculous, he did a good freestyle, Karina did a good one too

This was really good. I was rooting for Amber and Derek that year but any other year they would won. I think the problem with doing MJ themed routine is you'll always be comparing it to the real deal MJ and no one is better dancer than him so its hard to live up to still they did a fantastic job!
