Genghis Khan would've totally used wisards in his army, because, from his point of view, he did. There were Mongol shamans among the troops who were believed to call for spirits' aid in battle, and Genghis Khan himself was believed to be a powerful shaman. You probably could've gotten away with using a wizard :)

In the Mongol Empire the "khagan" or "great khan" was an elected position. "Kurultai" is what the election meeting was called. So yeah, there were Elector Khans.

Genghis specifically sought out shamans to help his conquests, since Mongols expected to have them call on the aid of spirits in combat. And once the empire was formed, they would seek out holy men of other religions on the basis that they might as well call on all of them. He would have totally capped out on wizards.

He did use auto resolve. It was called the three tents threat. The first day was a white tent and if they surrendered all was good, they just took tribute. If they raised the red tent that was a fight and inhabitants were enslaved. If he raised the black tent the city was razed to the ground with no survivors.

Karl Franz should be quite familiar with the "Cantabrian Circle" because it's very similar to the Renaissance Caracole that the Empire's Pistoliers are undoubtedly capable of.

Having grenade launchers sounds viable for Mongolian Horde as there are records of Mongols using primitive grenades in Japan which called tetsuhau (てつはう), I'm sure they used them in the continent and might have developed handheld launcher like in this game.

Cata circle only works with horse archer long range, so the entire thing can fire. The circle was a tactic vs enemy archers most of the fire land in middle where its empty..

Actually, circular fire returned with the advent of handheld firearms! Just as Marian tactics returned for infantry, early modern cavalry like the Schwartz Ritters would harass enemy lines with carousel fire. Basically you'd unload your pistols when you near the enemy lines, then use the remainder of the circle to reload as you rode out of range! Very effective, particularly before the mass adoption of true muskets

Great fun! Genghis used about 40% lancers to 60% horse archer skirmishers. Kislev is perfect for Genghis-style battles. High Elves are OK for this too but too expensive.

I did this with Tyrion. It was nasty. High elf skirmish cav and raider light cav in early game, late same skirmish cav but silver hands and dragon princes for heavy and just crushing it

You joke at 8:00 but as soon as Genghis Khan's forces were met with gunpowder bombs during his conquest of the Jin dynasty, he became a really big fan of them and incorporated gunpowder into his own army.

In previous Total Wars games, armies made entirely of calvary had larger campaign movement ranges. Is that the case with Warhammer?

Not quite, a large cav army in real life would actually be slower. You would have to build pens for the horses, bring fodder for places with sparse vegetation, grooming equipment, etc. it’s hard enough trying to move infantry, but add horses to that equation it becomes much more difficult. Not impossible, but more tedious.

​@@RebelCannonClub74 I just watched a video by Invicta called True Size of a Mongol Army. Part of it talks about how slow the main hoard moved and why. In the video they said that the largest army's called Chuns, would have consisted of 253,000 beings, 30k men and the rest horses and other animals. They would move at a pace of 14 mile a day and devour 210-630 acres of pasture a month. This would not happen often and most of the time they would broken off into smaller warbands that could cover up to 60 miles or more a day.

I whish there was a Khanate Golden Horde level Cavalry unit. Fast riders, Accurate armor piercing missiles, world class heavy armor, world class mounted/dismounted melee, and most importantly with their pet warrior eagles.
