Honestly, I don't believe it was entirely Heisenberg's fault his plan failed. Considering the entire reason Ethan is able to defeat Miranda IS because of Rose sapping her power. That's probably what Heisenberg had in mind anyway. Personally I feel Heisenberg was a missed opportunity on the part of Capcom in it's storytelling. They could have easily given the player a choice to either side with Chris and have the game play out the way it ultimately did. Or have him side with Heisenberg. In this alternate storyline, the ultimate fight with Miranda would have played out pretty much the same, but the portion of the game where you play as Chris would have been replaced with the player taking control of Heisenberg with his mechanized army assaulting Miranda's minions. Remember, at this point Ethan has no idea that his wife is still alive, so rather than giving Rose to Chris to take her back to her mother, she would have left her with Heisenberg to take care of after he died. While Heisenberg was willing to use Rose to defeat Miranda, I don't think he would have been the type to force her to serve him, as his whole motivation was to free himself from Miranda's control. This alternate storyline would have basically set Heisenberg and an adult Rose up to be wildcards in the over-reaching story of the setting. Basically being bioweapons themselves, but not aligned with any of the major groups.

That and I bet having Heisenberg help Rose control and understand her powers would have been way better, than whatever happened at the end of the game. Chris quite literally made her into a human nuke. Rather be raised far away underground by a creepy Dante look-alike who understands your powers and struggles, than being treated by the whole world (mom included) like a live grenade.

Saddest part of this is Ethan DID go ahead with Heisenbergs plan and use Rose as a weapon against Miranda he just did not realise it happened. Before the fight with Miranda; Rose resists her action and seems to drain Miranda which she comments on being weakened. Without that weakening Ethan would likely had no chance at all against Miranda who was like a demigod at that point but Rose causing her to bleed black made her vulnerable. So yep Heissenburg was right but if they had known that Rose would have helped them just by existing near Miranda they could have worked together. Poor mad scientist.

Karl Heisenberg is a perfect example of what would happen to a abducted child that was raised in a extremely toxic environment/cult with no outside help or influence on normal human behavior. a child growing up without love and was constantly surrounded by death and unwanted experimentation, it's honestly surprising of how aware he is about how fucked up that is because he didn't really know anything else especially on how to interact with others on a healthy level. he along with everyone else in the village were isolated from the outside world and even Karl didn't know about umbrellas existence much/ significance. Karl was a forgotten victim and product of others cruelty, never truly given the chance to see healthy examples of how life is supposed to be.

@7:02 I disagree about Heisenberg being a bad guy. He's been trapped where he is for nearly a hundred years, aware of his own enslavement and position but essentially powerless to do anything about it. With the exception of his terminators (who look like they could be made with cadavers or clones and not live subjects) the other troop type unit he uses are the same husks that were created by Miranda except using technology to direct and control them and circumvent the mold control that Miranda could exert over them. I think Heisenberg was meant to be an example of a hero who was defeated and had to become twisted in order to keep surviving. A hero pushed past the breaking point without the ability to end it even through self-immolation.

Worth mentioning with the prevalence of hydraulics in heisenberg’s final form: the reason for this is likely to minimize the strain on his ability to pick up metal so that he can actually throw all that stuff around during the fight. No hydraulics would mean that his ability is doing 100% of the work moving the arms, while with hydraulics he is likely only doing half or less if that work.

If I recall it states that the gland of some Japanese fish rests on his nervous system and this is what gives him his magneto powers. There are entires on the other 4 lords so it might help with these videos.

I believe the term you are looking for is diamagnetism. Diamagnetic materials generate magnetic fields that oppose an externally applied magnetic field. But that isn’t what was happening in the fight with Heisenberg.

Me and my brother played Residential Evil 6 on No Hope. All stories including Ada's. Once we got to Chris and Pierce ending. We had no ammo and no grenades fighting this big baby monstrosity. Running and dodging around the room trying to get ammo and not points. We both agree, it's time to play Resident Evil 6 like Dark Souls. Rolling, running, smacking it with the butt of my rifle while my brother gets to slice it with his knife. Maybe five or six minutes of this, we actually did enough damage to progess and not get soft-locked. After this, we agreed if everything turns to shit, we treat the game like Dark Souls. Helena and Leon however is most definitely the Resident Evil story

I love your videos and learning more about biology! One issue about Lady Dimitrescu and her daughters is they aren't genetically her daughters. So they wouldn't have inherited Dimitrescu's blood disease. There's a journal you find that talks more about Lady Dimitrescu's experiments and how she used 3 girls who had died and were completely taken over by those mold flies. They essentially woke up and started calling her mom, so I think Dimitrescu adopted them unofficially. The girls were originally villagers or servants of hers. Awesome video as always :) I can't wait for Beneviento's video, she I think was kind of talked about the least.

The father/foreman confusion may come from the way mines and factories worked in Europe at the time (late 19th early 20th century). At least western Europe, not sure Romania worked the same way (would like to hear about that if somebody knows). But in short, while workers did live in abject poverty, they were free to move to other companies if conditions were better. Thus factory and mine owners invested massively in social services (health coverage, schools, price-cuts in local shops they owned, ...) which led to basically small cities being built around the main business: the mine or factory. With the owner being the "head/father" of the community, taking care of the families that lived there. It was named the "paternalist" system.

One small issue: I'm pretty sure the law of equal and opposite reactions should still apply if he was just creating magnetic fields, which should have meant that he would have either been throwing himself around, or bracing himself with opposing fields (and for a random reference for the day, they actually discuss doing this in the Belgariad when Garion is learning to use the Will and the Word and accidentally sinks himself into the soil trying to lift a rock).

I love Karl! I didnt really care about his boss fight too much, and I didnt think his voice fit him for the first few playthroughs- but it grew on me strongly after a few playthroughs and watching lore on this character. Guys a real psycho to get mad at the zombie he slapped a chainsaw propeller on. He strangely acts like an abusive father to Sturm. That's both a good homage to Dr Frankie, and a show that his manic rage (natural or not) gets muted or leveled by genius when he wants it. Great, hateable, sociopathic villain energy.

I like that Heisenberg not only has his electromagnetic power to move his final form about, but also has those hydraulics and wheels and the like - he can generate electricity, which is in turn converted to magnetic fields, so he could by the same process basically plug these mechanical parts into himself, and if the cadou enlarges his brain a bit, then he might well be able to design this thing on the fly with whatever is on hand.

Karl Heisenberg is my favorite Resident evil antagonist if it were up to me I’d team up with Heisenberg too take mother Miranda down and I think doing so Ethan and Heisenberg would still be alive.

Funny thing is, they wouldn't even have to 'weaponize' Rose. Saving her using the mold (only way to actually do it) is what shredded Miranda's control, since a better connection was formed. Literally just had to say let's use Rose as a weapon and it would have worked out even better than it did lol

This narrator is hysterical. I love his delivery and sense of humor. This is probably my favorite resident evil game. I love the characters. Wish it was a maybe an hour or longer.. definitely a few gripes with the story but the character are my favorite except Miranda… Ethan and the lords are so well written and interesting. RE does eccentric/psycho so well.

I don't think Lady D's "daughters" were actually hers, but rather were just three random girls she took from the village, were consumed by the flies, and the fly took on the shape and rough intelligence of the girls. Lady D didn't know what would happen, but when she saw these new beings get up and look around, she described them as like newborns, so she adopted them as her own.

I have seen him through someone playing this and I would have worked through a compromise. I do what I have to, that softens Mother Miranda up and then tell her that I won't kill her, I will give that pleasure to Heisnberg, then pat him on the shoulder and said "showtime!"

Funnily enough, Karl's Soldat's are very heavily based off of the OG Tyrant from the first game. Big red spot where the heart is, big dangerous arm. Even its movements are similar. It was a nice little callback.

I don’t know. After the annoyance that was the last bit of the factory it was so cathartic having just… the most insane boss fight possible. Plus it’s nice to have something so big and crazy without it all being cutscenes.

Hey RG, any chance you'll do one of these for Ethan, as well? I'd love to know what you think about his super healing, the fact that he seems to have been the one to have the lowest mental corruption from the mold even though he had no known prior exposure or autoimmune issues, and whether you think he "inherited" Eveline's ability to release pheromones' that made people protective and see her as less of a threat. His inability to recognized something strange when he was reattaching limbs in seconds as well as Chris and the BSAA never noticing he was infected despite his body literally being fully mold at that point seems to point to him instinctively releasing that pheromone and it's continued effectiveness even after leaving his presence. The only people that ever seem to recognize the threat he was were Mia, Miranda, and Heisenberg (all people who had high levels of mold infection but kept their bodies and minds mostly intact.) Chris Redfield watched Ethan take down giant mutant!Eveline and is stated to have personally given Ethan military training and yet he continued to view him as helpless and in need of protecting.

The reason he could life the dozer and Ethan at the end of the fight was just because he was pushing the organ to the limit and it got strong enough to lift them is all. A strong enough magnetic field can move basically anything because of electrons, it just needs enough juice.

Also there probably is enough metal in the dozer for him to lift it, he may not have actually lifted Ethan and manipulated him using metal accoutrements in Ethan's clothing - or is maybe powerful enough to effect the Iron in Ethan's blood.

Far be it from me to judge a grieving parent, my poor decisions involving a lot of Carl's Jr continue to haunt me every time I go to the gym, but I think the mold clone idea is kinda going a little too far, and that was before you started accidentally turning people into werewolves and swamp things.
