Freur recordings are really masterpieces and it remains one of the most underrated band of the 80"s as Magma was during the 70s !!!
@WinstonGuitar5 жыл бұрын
Yes, and does this record somehow make you think of heroin-addicted Scottish teens? That's because Freur went on to become Underworld, whose song "Born Slippy" was featured on the Trainspotting soundtrack :)

Oh how far we've all come since that dodgy flat with peeling wallpaper in Ken Church St that Karl & his g/f shared with my g/f (now wife). Great times... so very long ago.

Not a fan of Underworld, not really my kind of music. Freur on the other hand were absolutely a huge part of my late teen years. Saw them many times at the Marquee. So good to hear Karl singing this song all these years later.

I had to laugh when I heard the audience member, whoever it is (I assume it's an audience member anyway) doing the glissandi during the first chorus. Oh I would have DIED if he had broken into this in front of me. This is one of my all time favorite records, and I'm so happy to see Karl acknowledge finally (I had the impression he was mostly embarrassed by the Freur and Underworld MKI eras).

I think he feels the same melancholy that we feel. I am 53 years old and when this song came out I was 18. I had so many dreams, I had so many little girls and, above all, I did not have a smartphone.
